Hi everyone, not sure about the quality of these but can't go wrong with this price. I may never need a screw driving bit again!

On the clearance trolley in the tools section, there were about 10 left at time of purchase.

Steel drill and driving set. Means drills are made of steel….. not for drilling steel. Drill bits are obviously for wood. Nonetheless, looks okay for $60

    • Thanks for the insight! Not as much of a bargain as I thought haha 😅

Wood bits. Probably generic hss with waffle coating.

    • Would be grateful if you could please recommend set of good drill bits (wood/metal/masonry) that I can buy for use around the house so that I don’t have to pay an arm & a leg but also not spend hours trying to drill where it should be matter of seconds.

Project Farm on Youtube does great tests of stuff like this - it's American centric so not all brands available in Australia but gives you an idea of what to watch out for.

Thanks so much. Ordered online! Will collect later today….and buy something (anything) while I am there! Bit of a thing where everyone in the household watches keenly as I return from my trip to Bunnings…to see what else did I get this time!!!

bosch make a drill bit that does wood/metal/masonary but EXPENSIVE,
I often buy the craftright (cheap) because of the wood/metal drill bit goes through and hits masony …. it's blunt and I don't sharpen my drill bits unless desperate.
Craftright also make cheap masonary bits for impact drills., but I have rotary hammer for most of my masonary drilling,

I have a set of cobalt drills bits for special occasions .

if drilling masonary the minutes vs seconds is rotary hammer vs impact hammer drill so a few holes use impact (cheaper but takes longer) lots of holes invest in rotary hammer …. (quicker but more expensive)
