These are similar prices to December.

But seriously, you’re out here doing the lords work. Kudos.

      • +1

Just because these are common prices, that doesn't mean that they're a bad deal.

  • No S2722DC?

    • -8

      DC means what ?

      • +10

        Name checks out

      • +2

        It's where the president lives.

      • +1

        Sorry?
Not happy with the pricing lol?

    • +2

      $319.

      • Thanks dealbot - excellent price - taking over from S2721DS.

        • What's the difference to the s27722qc which has a larger original rrp? The USB C and other ports seem similar?

The only issue is with both models you charge with the USB C to laptop you have no dp out to go to a second monitors dp in for daisy chaining???

  • +2

Does the 5 years premium warranty worth it? What exact services are you getting?

    • +25

Every 3 months a Dell technician comes to your house, dusts the screen off, sanitises it with isopropyl alcohol and does a colour calibration. It’s pretty good service really. I’m pretty happy with it so far.

      • This level is service is unreal, definitely will give a go at that, thanks for the answer buddy

        • No problem

          • +19

@Skramit: I don't recommend it. I came home early from work one day and caught him in bed with my wife.

            • +11

@Evanlet: Sounds like your wife paid for your monitor…

      • +25

I'd pay extra for someone not to come to my house every 3 months and do that.

        • +15

I can not do that for you for $500 for 5 years of Premier plus premium warranty. Guaranteed to not attend your house and clean your monitor every 3 months.

        • Oh that’s part of the Diamond plan.

      • +12

I thought you were joking at first lol

        • +1

          I never joke about Dell.

  • +2

any 32inch deals coming up? Not in a rush, happy for it to occur in March onwards xD

    • -1

I'm happy with the 32" curved speaker model.

      • where's the deal?

        • -2

I bought it a year ago, on the Dell website. I was then assigned a representative (as a business account) who can provide better pricing.

    • Yes I bought a S3222DGM for $449 today

    • There's also S3222HG available for $319 today

      • looks like price went up on dell - showing 388.99. And the the one you bought went back up to RRP.

I did see the sale last night but didn't want to look at it until the weekend.

    obligatory "code doesn't work" comment

  • +1

got an AW3821DW last Jul to replace my 34GN850-B. Both are great monitors, love the 38 inch on my AW.

Feel free to ask any me questions regarding AW3821DW.

    • Do you think it was a noticeable upgrade? Been looking at the 34GN850-B for it's responsiveness and just worried the AW38 wont be as responsive. also worried will be too GPU intensive on a 3080 to keep 120hz- 144hz in triple AAA titles. currently have xiaomi curved 34 looking to upgrade but wondering if its worth it for either.

      • +1

Noticeable size wise. I have an 4k 32 inch monitor that pairs up with the AW and they are now roughly the same size. with the LG ultrawide next to my 4k 32 inch it just seems so small.

As for responsiveness, i cannot comment on that because my rtx 2060 card cannot run AAA title on the AW with 120+ hz.

      • +1

My 3080ti keeps most things at 140hz on the AW38, the rest at >120hz, and occasionally as low as about 100hz.

I do use DLSS when available/if necessary too though.

Either one of the monitors you mentioned is a huge upgrade from the Xiaomi. Just do it.

      • +1

Yeah like what wintermadness said, the AW38 will be a huge upgrade to your Xiaomi. It won't let you down.

    • How is the colour?
I have the Dell U3818DW and honestly, my laptop had better colour. Any experience with the U3818DW, like how does it compare to the AW3818DW

Ever tried connecting your laptop to the ultrawide? If yes, how much load did it put on the laptop

      • I've got my Surface Pro 6 hooked up via HDMI (PC on the single DP this monitor has too) and it's fine (full res @ 80hz) but I don't use the SP6 for gaming.

      • Hemm, i have not adjust any colour setting for the ultrawide. But they seem pretty good to me.
Maybe someone else here who has the monitor can help with that aspect.
or you can have a look at the review at - https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/alienware-aw3821dw-revi…

And yes I have connect my surface book 2 to the monitor using and usb C to HDMI cable (ultrawide screen only), and i have notice that it drains the battery quicker then it would normally. As for performance, i haven't notice any difference as far as i am aware.

        • Why not USBC to USBC? I notice my laptop fan goes loud when watching YouTube :(

          • @Danneo: There is no USB C port on the monitor. for display input there is only 1 DP and 2 HDMI port.

      • The AW3821dw has a very wide gamut but no srgb mode, so YouTube videos and web content Will look highly oversaturated unless in HDR.

      • Thought I'd put in my 2cents on this

I've had this monitor for over a year now and initially, I found the colours out-of-the-box not so great (could've just been my unit?) but I'm somewhat susceptible to small colour changes that I calibrated it pretty close to neutral but a little more on the vivid side (from my eyes as I do not have any type of display calibration tool) and find the colour reproduction to be amazing

I haven't had any issues at all since calibration but have no idea how it'll do being connected to a laptop

        • what software did you calibrate your monitor with? i am interested to see how big of a different non calibrated vs calibrated there is.

  • -1

Is there only one laptop that will work with this code?

  • -1

That dell desktop is terrible value when you can get a 3070ti for similar price

Still appreciate the effort you do mate 👍

    • Is that a 3070ti in a DELL? Have you got a link to a better system please? (I'm being lazy)

      • -6

Not in a Dell, through techfast better service and build quality

        https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678599

        • +5

          You're comparing a 10400f to a 12700. It's half the performance. Also DDR4 vs DDR5 ram.

By comparison the Dell is a bigger discount.
          A 3070ti is worth at most $400 more than a 3060ti.

    • Maybe thats why hardly any desktop deals, 90% listed are for monitors …

    • The dell has ddr5 and a much faster CPU

    • Not for a 12700 CPU and ddr5, it's well priced
Not sure the dell cooling will do the CPU any favours though

      • Always the Dell CPU cooler has to be replaced to get full performance. Including on the new systems. The Alder Lake CPUs need even better cooling than the 11th gen. But given the difference in the footprint it might be difficult to replace it with an aftermarket cooler.

    • This is a similar spec system (except DD4) for $3K - https://www.centrecom.com.au/centre-com-zero-gen12-i7-3060-t…

That 38" is tempting, but im holding for the QD-OLED ultrawide's coming this year.

    • HODL

Btw, how many hertz is it going to be?

      • +1

Both 175hz which is fine my current 1440p ultrawide at 160hz is hard enough to run it's the QD OLED that has me excited.

        Samsung Odyssey G8QNB
        Alienware AW3423DW

        these are the monitors.

    • QD-OLED feels like 2.5k - 3k price range.

  • +1

Anyone knows hows S3422DW compare with S3422DGW?

S3422DW has higher RRP of $999
    S3422DWG has RRP or $899

    • DWG - 144hz
      DW - 100hz

      • Also, DW is IPS isn't it?

  • S2722DC is tempting. My son's using S2419H, no VESA mount. Considering an upgrade for him.

  • +1

Is there any movement on S2721QS, the Ozbargain favourite?

    • S2722QC looks to be the updated version.
It's also on sale as dealbot posted here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678380

    • +1

its $319, dealbot replied to my comment asking about it

      • Thanks!

        • confirmed, just ordered one at $329 using above code

  • I am after a USB-C monitor but ideally 4K, any ideas?

    • +1

      S2722QC

    • +1

      2722QC?

    • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/678380 $369 as posted by dealbot earlier

      • +1

        Thanks guys!

      • Saw this one posted. How does this compare to the USB C posted in this deal the s2722DC? They both seem USB C but this s2722qc is a higher base RRP?

Is it any good? I see Samsung equivalents have dp 1.2 out so you could daisy chain to say a cheap AOC 2nd monitor. But these dell models (s2722dc or QC models) don't support daisy chaining do they? Given the lack of a dedicated dp out?

        • +1

          DC is QHD
          QC is 4K

  • Does eBay Dell provide invoice under your name? Any experiences…

    Thank you in advance.

    • +1

Yes, they do provide an itemised invoice with your name, not your handle. Bonus: the price listed is before discount.

Source: bought the FHD version of the 13 xps last year BF.

    • Monitor as hand luggage?

      Levelled up.

      • This is getting confusing :-)

      • Gotta level up your switch game.

  • I am anxiously awaiting to know how much the QD-LED AW3423DW will be…

    • 2-3k is my guess it wont be cheap, though it will have the Samsung monitor which looks to be basically the same specs to compete against.

      • Sigh…. I know…

  • No accessories on sale? :(

  • Any of these good for PS5? Thank you!

    • +1

      I'd go with 4k for ps5. Wasting time / money with 1440p.

  • S2721QS? please!

    • +1

      $329

      • thanks

  • -1

Can not decide between the s2721dgf or the gigabyte m27q (or m32q for that matter).

The contrast on the s2721dgf truly looks bad in the Rtings review even tho m27q not huge amount better :(

No rush since don't mind using my laptop monitor I guess :(
