G81SF using the same panel 2025 Samsung QD-OLED Gen 4 with a matte finish. Similar models with this panel are Dell AW2725Q (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/898285 Dolby Vision, Glossy), MSI 272QRX50 (DisplayPort 2.1, Glossy) and Asus PG27UCDM (DisplayPort 2.1, Glossy, Dolby vision, KDM switch)

The Dell and Samsung are priced more competitively compared to MSI and Asus with the compromise of no DP 2.1. Get the Dell AW2725Q if you prefer a glossy screen and Dolby Vision (and probably Dell 3 years burn-in warranty), get the Samsung if you prefer matte coating (best at handling light reflection in light room) and the design. If you wanna spend extra money, get either the MSI or the Asus.

  • So.. no gsync support for the 32inch G8?

  • Genuinely curious what the type-B would be used for 🤔

Edit- ok, enables the usb ports to communicate with the pc. :/

  • It just has get stock alert for preorder or am i missing something?

    • Ok, it just took another hour for it to be available in Perth..

  • Seconding above comment - when this was announced I dont understand how the 32" is different from the G80sd other than the removal of TizenOS and more expensive rrp?

    • +1

Yeah no OS and no speakers this time. Should be cheaper and not more expensive if you ask me

    • No tizen is a minus honestly, with tizen you can do all sorts of funky stuff with the asbl

  • Ordered G81SF 27 inch. Based on the reviews I watched, Samsung seems to have better HDR PQ EOTF tracking and more custom control options than the AW2725Q. AW2725Q also has a small cooling fan making noise, which can be louder over the years
