Really? I think that needs a little qualification - I'd want a bit more than that running a bead in a confined space, let alone a quarantine area.
It's as effective as the fit around the face.
I found how N95 masks actually work quite interesting.
Having said that, I'm someone who would rather not be near a live wire WITH the right PPE, so yeah.
For the healthcare workers who these masks are for, probably not as much of a concern since they would have had the training on fitting these correctly as well as all their other PPE and procedures.
these fit quite well (needs fit testing to be certain) but keep in mind it is difficult to put on and you cannot take it on and off easily - if you need to do that you will inevitably contaminate the mask. so only for those who can tolerate close fitting masks well and need to wear for prolonged periods at a time eg. healthcare settings.
bit on the expensive side there were still proshield N95s retailing for $2 a mask not long agoI use the normal shaped ones at work and they are much more comfortable than basic masks. The lining and nose areas are softer, and the sides feel better covered.

We have these at work and I prefer the proshields over these for comfort, but these are also decent
