  • Up-Scaling no thanks. This is only decent if you only have a FHD TV, if you have 4k TV you are better off giving this a miss.

Isn't Panasonic's upscaling better than most TVs?

    • -1

It upscales stuff that’s not 4K, like any tv broadcast. Your tv does the same.

@Nomoneynotalk: Gee. ok. Bet you probably purchased a few of these companies products before. So not buying anything from China. Good on you. Might then want to check if you have anything from Germany and other countries with the same human rights record. Just saying

              • @Melb69: Unfortunately, money talk for most companies. Where possible I support locally made products, even if it cost more. I know that goes against the ozbargain thinking.

                • @Nomoneynotalk: Fair and reasonable, but just saying if you live by that rule. If you don't follow it fully it's a bit hypercritical. Just saying. Worth doing it that's what your into

            • @Nomoneynotalk: Okey then :)

      Which genocide? Genuine question.

Strange David Jones spec state although it can upscale it can't play 4K discs….* Does not play 4K Blu-ray discs

I bought the 945 model about 10 or so years ago. Haven't used it in over 4 years. Basically the same as this one minus the multi room capability - I think.

Great unit as it can record up 3 different channels at once but 2 of those channels need to be with the same station. eg 9, 93 94 99 or 70, 71 72 73 etc

If recorded to a hard drive you can edit out the commercials and can copy what is on the hard drive to a dvd or Blu-Ray
