  • Felix is also good if you don’t mind speed capped at 20Mbps

Unlimited data - a bit like "All You Can Eat*"

    • Up to one plateful and then through a straw.
  • Not sure how they detect 30gb in hotspot, if I put that in a modem permanently?

    • Would like to know too

whispers can confirm I’ve used 0kb of the tethering quota after about 60gb of data usage in a B818. I’m also getting 250mbps down :O

      • 5G speeds on a 4G device? I’m interested how’s this happening?

        • +1

4G can get super damn fast, it’s mainly congestion that stops you seeing decent speeds. I’ve seen 350mbps with Optus and 250mbps with Vodafone, within 1km of a non-congested tower

          4G cat 16 is capable of a theoretical 1000 down, 100 up.

          Cat 3 LTE 100/50 100.8 Mbps / 50.4 Mbps
          Cat 4 LTE 150/50 151.2 Mbps / 50.4 Mbps
          Cat 5 LTE 300/75 299.6 Mbps / 75.6 Mbps
          Cat 6 LTE 300/50 301.5 Mbps / 50.4 Mbps
          Cat 7 LTE 300/100 301.5 Mbps / 100.8 Mbps
          Cat 9 LTE 450/50 452.2 Mbps / 51 Mbps
Cat 10 LTE 450/100 452.2 Mbps downlink, 102 Mbps uplink
Cat 11 LTE 600/50 603 Mbps downlink, 51 Mbps uplink
          Cat 12 LTE 600/100 603 Mbps downlink, 102 Mbps uplink (Rel. 11)
          Cat 13 LTE 400/150 391.7 Mbps downlink, 150.8 Mbps uplink (rel. 12)
          Cat 16 LTE 1000/100 979 Mbps downlink, 5 CA, 105 Mbps uplink

Of course 5G is capable of even more:
NR 15005G NR approx. 1.5 Gbps downlink (FR1)
NR 26005G NR approx. 2.6 Gbps downlink (FR1, Sub6) data links

  • They remove the hotspot cap then this become a deal.
