3060 Ti FTW3 all gone it seems when I went to page to try to purchase.
Man, I got sick of waiting and dropped 2k on a 3080 but the 3070 TI has not much worse performance for a good $500 less, wonder if I should sell my 3080 to recoup $500 back

I think people should be aware that PLE have zero care about your order. My order came badly maimed because they thought a post bag would be sufficient to transport your graphics card. Basically the box was destroyed and had plastic parts shattered right onto the heat sink. Not to mention the packaging was a dead giveaway that a GPU was inside risking theft.
No excuse that they didn't know either because they ship hundreds or thousands of these GPUs.
Their only solution is for you to return the graphics for 'assessment' which is not a solution because they have no cards to replace it with.
Not even Kogan treats your order this badly for $2 items let alone for $1k-$2k items.
Will never shop at PLE again

If the packaging arrives looking smashed I'll be sure to video the 'unboxing' so as to have a solid case for a refund/replacement.
Yes recently and yes I recommend filming when you open it.
Whilst I trust that eventually someone could get a refund or replacement it's just that there are no replacements. So you're waiting for a preorder to then be put in line for a preorder again. The thing about paying a premium price for items is that getting it now is absolutely important, who knows what waiting another month or two will do to the price.
Normal ple bags the card with bubble wrap then their black bag, if the card is smashed it is a problem with Auspost. They have done quite enough to protect the card. On the other side kogan only bag the items with their bag, no other protection at all.
A single layer of standard bubble wrap is insufficient for a graphics card box to get to you unharmed or not beaten up especially since EVGA boxes aren't rock solid like the ones you get with Motherboards it's more like a single outerbox with an inner blister pack, it's all very flexible.
Auspost is one thing but PLE should be well aware of this.
I've never experienced a computer store who would ship something this expensive without the commonsense of just putting it into a shipping box. Shopping express, CPL, Centrecom, BPC etc all seem to be able to send my stuff in a box for much cheaper items so I can't see why PLE are being so poor here.
Well my card arrived today with the box in almost perfect condition. I decided to go air express instead of eparcel.
Do they pack the same way regardless of what shipping method is used? Now wondering if I should get them to send by startrack air to reduce the time spent in transit.
These $50>$100 "discounts" are a trap. Prices will never go down if people keep buying at these prices.
People keep buying them at these prices and have made a new normal. I don't see how it will go down substantially from here unfortunately.

Felt lucky to get the 3060 Ti XC, but looks like people don't like it. I know the FW3 is a better card, any serious cons with the XC version?
XC is only 2 fans unlike the larger cards like the 3070 even which is the XC3 model I believe.
The 3080 XC3's had heat issues, because the XC line is a 2.2slot card and not closer to 3 slots like the FTW series.

Sounds like a devious move from PLE. The price may drop next month, so PLE locked you guys in at the current prices so you won't be buying at lower prices next month.

I'm so glad my my 1080Ti is still a beast. Always wanted to get a 30 series purely for the ray tracing.. but these prices mang. Going to wait and see how prices go in the new year.. or just wait for 40 series.

@Clews: I changed the shipping to star track air after I ordered. I was told if you are on the eastern seaboard and choose Auspost it gets sent from Melbourne (and that's after it arrives in WA and then gets sent to Vic internally). If you get it air shipped I understand it gets sent out of WA. Literally 1 business day to get here so I guess it was well worth the extra compared to the cost of the card.
