    I prefer Liven and TheFork!

    • Liven looks pretty good. Cheers, didn't know

Careful of the Fork. Got quite a number of bad experiences with them refusing to credit. Basically they partner with dodgy vendors that refuse to honor promos and wont assist to enforce the promo.

    • Doesn't look like Liven can be any better.

They're all about "lvn" points and "fooddollars". Yet the suburbs I checked had no mention of any, just generic reviews, and I tried finding some restaurants that you could get those through search but there's no option to search for those, which is poor given it's their primary focus.

Then I just searched with "the best…" and it only produced a few results in the city centre that showed "earn" or "available". So it seems the bulk of listings have no benefit, and there's no easy way to search for the few that do.

      • I've been a Liven user for years and they're amazing. They're so easy to use and unlike the Fork, I've never had any issues using my Liven account to pay. Best part is that some venues charge a surcharge on credit cards, so I just end up using Liven (which is linked to my credit card) to pay and earn a discount at the same time.

One of the worst mobile apps ive ever used

    • +3

Agree, no idea why they every changed the old one.

      At least it worked…

With this version, you can't redeem anything if there is no mobile coverage.

      • probably too many people redeeming multiple coupons :D

        • Now you can’t redeem at all.

    • Use to be great, it yet.. the ne app is appalling.

also heard they tried to remove the leukaemia charity donations part from when it was bought a f years back.

  • Tried seeing what offers they have, looks really limited.

  • I went to quite a few Subway in Melbourne CBD area and most of the staff doesn't even know about Entertainment Book and were not able to claim it. Mine expired 1 month ago from previous purchase and have not used much due to lockdown.

  • I hope the borders don’t close.

    They will

    • That's OK, we're used to staying at home now…

Reluctant to purchase a new subscription as a lot of restaurants went off the app during lockdown and the few that remain are unlikely to honour the vouchers. Had to report a few to Entertainment last year for not honouring and also had a few awkward moments when dealing with restaurants that reluctantly honoured them.

  • if you're upgraded to 20 cities, does it give you 20 copies of the duplicated coupons?

    • Sadly no, that is how it used to work with the old app but not anymore.
