Asus N61 16" Notebook
for 681$ reduced from 1000 dollars
Why we didn't know until today?
all store ran out of stocks when i checked out and no delivery for the item. So… it's expired already.
But really a bargain for $681.00 for a i7 laptop
Guys you can still do a Click & Collect online and then pick-up in store tomorrow. Only problem is that you can't go into the store and have a 'physical' look at the laptop. And they were giving Norton 360 V5 3 User for FREE as well (with all windows laptop purchases)!!!
Shame they have to give that crap away. Why not give away a decent AV that won't chew up all of ones resources?
The good ones are free anyway, why not give us an extra warranty coverage for free, least thats worth something
yeah its out of stock already in my area :|
jus found out Moonee Ponds still hv stocks in VICTORIA..
anyone knw is it Intel Core i7 1st gen or 2nd gen ?
I am not sure but one comment on DSE site said it has overheating problem so may be 1st gen.
1St gen..GFX card is pretty fat though. Can run all the latest games.
How I know- I own one from 2010. These supposedly also have 2 years international warranty. Fire away if you have any other questions
i can collect it for ya (moonee ponds my local) - for a fee of course :-P
ASUS N61 Series N61JQ-A1 NoteBook Intel Core i7 720QM(1.60GHz) 16" 4GB Memory DDR3 1066 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
probably this model as specs on dicksmith site says graphics card is HD 5730 Radeon. It's a 2010 model :D So yes pretty much first Gen i7 and pretty much should be half price or less
Don't buy 1st gen i7, I saw a few with overheating problem.
i thought it's 2nd gen :(
hopes raised and not going to get it now…
i7 720qm is 1st Gen
i7 2720qm is 2nd gen
yes people should recognise whether its first or second generation i-series cpu by the number. first gen cpu have 3 digits while second gen cpu have 4 digits

That's a good deal.
Your post suggests that 30% of laptops at DSE are ASUS brand.
And it ended today and stores are all closed by now.
Title is misleading. The home page at DSE says "Up to 30% off all Asus laptops"
I've been looking for a 'decent' laptop. When I find one, no home delivery and impossible to find a store to pick up.
Only this is decent http://dicksmith.com.au/product/XC7976/asus-k53sc-sx404v-not…
or

Erina has the first one in stock.
All depends on what postcode you use.

Again, out of stock!
Back to $974. Deal expired (already).
well they called me and said no stock after ordering online
how convenient.!
Offer ended today.
Unless there are still DSEs still open this isn't a deal anymore.
EDIT: Unless click and collect is still valid..?
