No, there is a wireless version. And this is the wireless one. Wired 502 is around 60-70 ish. I have the wired 502 too. Very nice mouse.

    • The G502 Hero is the wired version. This (the Lightspeed) is the wireless.

    • +10

Hardly sounds like a mouse fetish at all if you don't know about one of the consistently most popular wireless gaming mice that came out all the way back in 2019

^Made an account purely to spit facts

Welcome to OzBargain, enjoy your stay

Is there a new version coming with usb c? Does anyone know? Logitech is a little bit slow with these new technology standards.

    • There was the supposed G502X posted around a while back. Tweaked design and had Type C I think. Hadn't seen anything else about it since.

    • +3

Things I would do for a usb-c on this mouse.

    "Adjustable Weight"
how it this possible? attached some metal?

    • +2

Wireless G Mouse have those magnet attachments underneath the mouse.

    • +2

There are metal weights inside, not that difficult lol

    • Yep, they include a couple of 0.5g (iirc) metal weights that you can add onto the bottom of the mouse.

So in short, its adjustable in the sense that you can make it heavier (if thats your thing).

  • The G502 Wireless with the 25.6k DPI is on amazon for $145.97

    • If I'm not mistaken, all HERO sensors were updated to have 25k DPI? I only know this because my wired G502 recieved an update last year.

Edit: Seems like it was the case for certain models

      • Oh I didn't know about that, thanks, it makes OP's deal even better

G502 on the PowerPlay mat is the best thing I ever did.

    • Absolutely. I would always end up with wireless gaming mouses just plugged in the whole time cause I'd keep forgetting to charge it (or unplug it).

It's basically a wireless mouse with a battery that lasts forever :D

    • Is the mouse battery removable, if so, can the mouse works on the PowerPlay mat without its battery inserted?

      • Not user removable, eg you have to take it apart. I believe on the mat the battery still powers the thing but the charger charges the battery- but don't quote me on that.

  • 2 heavy

  • Anyone compared this vs. Superlight?

  • I won one of these mice and I love it. By far and away my favourite mouse I've used. I use every button, and the size and shape are very comfortable. The clicks feel great too.

  • Does anyone know if you mod these how light you can get them?

    • dun ask just buy it

      best mouse ever had

I own mx master 2 razor hyperx etc

      • I've got the old wired g502 and the g pro x superlight and I'm a fan of the shape of the 502. I'm just interested to know how light it can be made because after using the gpx superlight my old 502 feels like a lead weight
edit: for those wondering, I looked it up and it seems that the g502 lightspeed can be made as 70g with some heavy modifications

        • much lighter than wired g502 I can tell

I got wired g502 hero as well

  • +1

I use this one for gaming (mainly FPS) and love it. Now also use it as my main mouse with my Mac for work as well because it feels so smooth compared to every other mouse I touch now.

  • its ok, been using the mouse for a while now. Only issue is that you tend to hit the DPI setting often and it messes everything up. A pain but a good mouse]

    • Sounds like it depends on hand size/grip/etc since I never had that problem. If you hit them accidentally, you can remap the buttons to do nothing. Personally, I remapped the dpi buttons to copy and paste.

  • thanks OP. got one. have had one of these for about 3 years now, use it with the power mat, amazing combo. mine is not broken, just wanted a backup and one I could use for work, and the price was spot on

got this, if anyone misses this deal only 5 left.
    catch has it for 145.59

has logitech fixed their keyboard all key macroable? it's the only thing they suck at, not being able to macro/reprogram every single key.

  • $125.02 last week(expired) - ordered a pair - arrived in the morning - remember to create an alert for your stuff

Fantastic mouse, my wired version still works in great order after 4 years of use.

Have owned this, it's unfortunate that Logitech G series mice have an issue with double-clicking. My G502 had an LMB double-clicking issue, RMA had none in stock and I got an upgrade to the G903. A couple of months later, the same issue again. RMA'd for the second time and received another G903. The same issue again!

Fed up, I've switched out to a Razer Basilisk V3 which I've used for a month so far. I like the idea of the optical mouse switches which should address the double-clicking and don't really care about having a wireless mouse anymore. Time will tell if their 70 million clicks claim is true or not but Logitech's G series 50 million click claims has been bogus for me personally.

    • +2

100% this. LMB click/drag was unusable after 3 months.
I went through 3 for the same thing.

I used my original G5 for years without issue, figured the 502 would be just as reliable.

Wrong. Which is a shame. It was great when it was working (for me).

    • +2

I bought the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum around 2016, and it is still going strong. I guess they changed the switches when they put in the Hero sensor?

      • +1

I can't remember the exact name but they're using Omron switches. Not limited to Logitech G mice, pretty much an issue with any brand that uses them as well from what I read up on it last time.

      • +1

I'm in the same boat, still have my g502 Proteus spectrum which is ~5yrs old with thousands of hours of use and it's still working perfectly

  • The Basilisk Ultimate is $143.28 at Razer's eBay store with the eBay Plus code PLBF20. I'd recommend it if you don't mind the loss of hyperscrolling in return for more reliable switches.

  • Just got this to replace my faulty G903 which I hated, why are the scroll wheels so poor on them, the build feels cheap too. Sticking with the MX Master 3 for daily use.
