Creality 2021 Ender 3 V2 3D Printer $305.96 Delivered @ 3D Printers Online

260

Just picked up this printer. Not the absolute cheapest but I think it's a good price.

Lots of other printers discounted as well as accessories and a few bundles too.

I think a few of the Creality filaments were out of stock when I was looking earlier this morning, so I ended up getting their own 3DPO branded PLA filament. No idea how good they are; will see. Maybe someone more experienced might be able to shed some light.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2021

  • Do these machines ship with genuine STM32 chips or clones?

    • +1

      Creality's 32-bit boards are genuine STM32s, yeah.

Can't tell you the exact model string, but Creality do use genuines iirc. Why the worries about it?

      • Chip shortage means that companies might switch to clones. Always worth checking.

        • Fair enough, yeah. I think the STM32 is fairly stable at least? And the only board I know of that uses a non-STMicrocontrollers chip (one of the Bigtreetech SKR ones, I think?) uses one that's an exact meticulous remake of it, so I think it might be safe from a shitty chip situation here at least!

  • Great price… Tempting

  • Ender 3 V2 or Anycubic Mega Pro?

    • If you're new to 3D printing go with the ender, a lot more users and hence troubleshooting help.

      • So get the Ender 3 V2 then upgrade to the Mega Pro once you've got some experience in ?

  • How does something like this compare? Complete noob with 3d printing, but looking to start

    • get the ender, the other printers probably decent but why take a risk the ender 3 is pretty much the best and most common (so tons of support) cheapish printer around

    • The voxelab are very good clones, I find them more reliable than a ender3 v2. I bought a couple of them for $202 each not long ago. The C2 is a odd offering basically a ender Pro clone.

The only downside to voxelab now is the chipset they are using because of the shortages. The OG was a STM32, but then came a G32 and N32 clone of it which wasn't too bad, but now they have H32 chipset floating around which needs a enterprise licences to be able to compile new firmware for it. They are currently changing it up to make it open source again. I do wonder which chipset they are using in the C2. If it was a STM32 it would be the one to buy

Edit: for confirmation that the C2 uses a H32 chipset so they claim for full open source is a complete lie as they still haven't opened up the H32. The source code for eclipse was incomplete last I checked

These are excellent for the money. I had no interest in 3D printers but was tempted by the reviews and such. Printing stuff every night. I got mine from the same place and I think it took around four days to arrive. The setup instructions are a bit rubbish, and we ended up following a YT video which explained a lot more. The only real issue was the bed levelling, which we eventually figured out. I upgraded the springs and the firmware as well, both of which were very easy to do. Well worth getting this.

    • What sort of things are you printing?

      • +2

All kinds of stuff - we started doing simple things like animals and logos. Then started on low-polygon models, which look great. Did a few flat pack/pop out models like gingerbread house and x-wing fighters. Last night we printed a lizard, which was fully flexible but someone how printed in one piece. I don't think you could buy this and run a business from it, but it is great fun messing around. There's thousands of free things to download and try.

          Sounds fun!!

  • This machine is bullet-proof for beginners - huge props.

    1x Creality Ender3 V2
    1x Creality WiFi Box
1x 3DPO PLA Filament (colour chosen at random)

    • +1

No, if you want wifi get a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 for a few bucks and use Klipper firmware. With PLA you'll probably want PLA+ from reputable companies like eSun. Usually $25/kg.

    • +1

No. You should add the items individually to your cart. You'll save $53.86 that way.

      • +1

I noticed that too. what a silly bundle.

        • Yeah. It looks like they priced the bundle based on the old printer price, but forgot to update it when the printer got discounted. LOL

  • Thanks Cyb3rGlitch

As a beginner, what color is popular to start?

    • pink

    • Black is a good one to start with. Not really fun, but it's good for building parts, especially building additional things for the pinter like a filament guide (since the printer is black)

    • +2

Doesn't matter, but I'd avoid anything translucent or black, because it'll be harder to determine the quality of your first layer.

  • +1

Bought one with some PLA and TPU Filament ! Thanks !

Anyone know if this is worth it. Currently on sale for $311.96 includes the upgrade parts (Springs and tube)

    • Those two upgrades are pretty important for the Ender 3 V2, and that price is good. It doesnt mention anything about upgraded couplers for the boden tube, but those can be purchased for cheap after.

  • FYI - this seems to be back in stock.
