ANYCUBIC sales on Amazon extend beyond the FDM printers posted earlier today. Shout out to @tophern who flagged it in the comments of that post.

This looks to be a sharp price for one of the better consumer grade machines, and there are numerous other discounts on resin and the wash and cure stations etc.

I watched this video and then pulled the trigger, will likely buy some spare parts to change the resin vat to the base M7 one to get rid of the weird heater.

In the end I nabbed 8kg of resin, this printer, and the wash and cure 3 plus station for $727 delivered as there's an additional 5% code that stacks if you buy a variety of things.

Please do note that resin printing needs a dedicated ventilated space and appropriate safety gear.

  • Looks cool. Ive always wanted a 3d printer. This looks like a good one. But not ready for one yet. Time issues.

If you're just looking for one to casually mess with, PLA filament is a lot less hassle and cleanup than resin.

And based on my mate's experience, get a bambu lab. He just opened the box, got rid of all the stickers, turned it on and printed something he downloaded. Zero issues or tinkering.

I remember when I got my first 3d printer I spent weeks fine tuning it to get something half decent that didn't fail or was full of ringing or stringing or elephant foot or any number of other issues.

        • Yep, I’ve been 3D printing for 12 years now and literally built a couple of hundred printers. If anyone asks me what printer to get it’s a Bambu Lab by a fair margin unless they really want the build it themselves experience.
