    Any Diplomas in ICT (Online Bargain Hunting)?

  • That Cyber Security diploma costs $5,450, has the Microsoft logo on it and yet includes no industry certifications. Ditto the Advanced Networking one. They list some other industry partnerships - CompTIA, AWS - but don't seem to offer any certs for those, either.

    If you've got that kind of money kicking around, you might be better off spending it on getting some Microsoft/Amazon/Cisco/CompTIA certs - that way employers know what they're getting.

    Just my 2c.

    • Hello Jong

      So by studying the Diploma you will receive a nationally recognised Diploma (Microsoft is one of our industry partners)

      In regards to our other industry partners you mentioned;

      CompTia, if you complete the 6 month Bootcamp in Cyber Security you will receive 3 Certificates

      CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+

      In regards to AWS, if you complete the Artificial Intelligence Bootcamp you will receive 4 internationally recognised Certificates:

      AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Data Analytics, TensorFlow Developer Certificate, AWS Certified Machine Learning

      So all bootcamps come with internationally rocognised industry Vendor Certificates and all Certs and Diplomas come with nationally recognised Certificates, I hope that clears everything up for you Jong :)

  • Why would you bother doing the bootcamp when you can get a legitimate diploma for less $$$?

      Diplomas are normally an 18-month course, and you gain a Diploma upon completion of your studies, whereas if someone wants to get into a career as soon as possible or they are already in a career and need to either up-skill or need the required Vendor Certificates they can complete it within 4-6 months.

      Diplomas and Industry Vendor Certificates provide different outcomes depending on what the individual wants to complete, Industry Vendor Certificates are also internationally recognised certificates whereas Diplomas are nationally recognised certificates.

      For example our Teacher for Cyber Security has the following Industry Vendor Certificates CISSP, CDPSE, CRISC, CGEIT, MCAF, PCI QSA, PCIP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, ISO 31000, none of which are obtainable by doing a Diploma and he has 25 years international experience across 5 continents in cyber security, risk, governance, assurance, and compliance management. He had to complete his studies outside of a diploma to gain these

      I hope that clarifys what the differences between diplomas and bootcamps are :)

      • Thanks for the explanation

        • No worries, happy to help
