  • Just booked online 4 x 195/60/R15 PIRELLI CINTURATO P6 + wheel alignment = $363.
    Bargain!

    • So what's the difference between the P6 & the P7 please?

      • +6

P1 but my algebra is scratchy

  • Will they fit MO tyres to a car that isn't a Mercedes?

    • It doesn't matter. It's just marketing and a way to supposedly make it easier to select the right tyre for the right car.

Just make sure your tyre rating (e.g. 205/16R16 92V) is correct. The 92V is a minimum so you can pick a higher spec and still be OK, although unless you plan on driving on a race track, the speed rating isn't relevant as they're much higher than you'd ever need in Australia.

    • Yea, it's just the tread pattern.

    • I ended up just going to the store and they did the deal for me there for the cheaper non mo tyres.

  • Bagged $124 per tyre for the Dragon Sports last night.

At that price it is just $28 more for a set of 4 than the cheapest tyres that fit my car on tyresales, and the 2nd cheapest set overall available to me.

    Awesome deal.

    • Dragon Sport is great tire too.

  • My partner and I each got a set of these on our respective cars from this deal last year. Two SUVs, good tyres, great savings, very happy. We didn’t get the service voucher, so can’t comment on that.

Note … We couldn’t book online due to “limited stock”, so we went to the store. They had tyres for my partner’s car, but not mine. They booked both cars in with the half-price deal. My car ended up being done about six weeks later, after a shipment of tyres arrived.

  • -2

Another failed Sale or marketing stunt. Can't add the 50% off tyres to the cart but I can add the non-sale ones … not sure if the system is "smart" enough and selectively do it.
    This is so sick

  • What happens if you have to cancel the booking, do you still have to make payment for tyres. Not sure whether to buy new tyres or buy a replacement car not sure how much longer our car will last before it needs expensive repair.

    • +3

Put the Pirelli's on your dodgy car, it'll make it easier to sell

  • +1

If you can't add them to checkout or book a date and time.. keep trying you will eventually get through. Just refresh the page over and over.. I managed to book mine in about 40 mins just now.

    • Good to know I'm not the only one having issues with booking the date and time. It's just not working for me, keeps bouncing back up the page when I click 'Continue to Billing'

      • i keep getting stuck at the billing screen too

    • Getting the pay now button to work was a pita but I did it ✊

    • Same story for me too. Took about 30min of refreshing various pages to finally see the credit card payment option and form. If you only see Zip as a payment method, refresh again and again until credit card is also shown as an option.

  • Phew; about four attempts via web site, but order successfully placed, can see my booking scheduled. local phone line was busy when I tried too
Still worth it for $67 a piece, no names are $85 for same size
    .

  • called the phone number this morning, 30 minutes wait and was able to snag some.

  • Have people that ordered started to receive their confirmation email? My first order just before midnight got an immediate confirmation but the wife's order just after midnight is yet to be confirmed. Cheers

  • +3

WTF?? Now I'm in a queue just to get into the website!! Expected wait time, 11 minutes. Ozbargain, you've done it again and destroyed another website with your popularity. Well done all.

    • There's a nationwide advertising campaign. Hardly ozbargains fault.

    • 13 minutes oh you poor soul…

  • +2

What a piece of $hit of a website. Have to wait in a queue to browse.

    • I waited in about 15 minutes, got in, selected my tyres but the 'book' button does nothing. Then I got an Nginx error and it bounced me back to the queue.
      Not worth the hassle…

  • I'm on the payment page and entered the credit card details and it just spins that blue circle.. :(

  • +1

cant call the line, "line busy"

tyres cant be added to book "We can order it"… by calling the line above…

    • Same deal here. Probably just going to go with Costco at this rate

    • the hours of my life it took to buy this deal for a small savings and needing to pick a shop 30 mins drive away as all the nearby ones don't have stock was not worth it.

This deal compared with the very common buy 3 get 4th one free deal is a small-ish saving.

  • Got a set of Pirelli SCORPION ALL TERRAIN PLUS 114T
    265/65R18 for $750 all up.

    • +1

Same for me in a different tyre size. I’ve also purchased the $75 wheel alignment for the sake of it.

      • Nice these will go on my Ranger, they are slightly bigger but will fit so an xmas present for me!

    • I wanted 275/65/18 but they only had that size in the older ATR model. Ended up with the same 265/65/18, replacing all 5 with the AT+.

  • Thanks OP scored a set of Pirellis for less than $300 fitted!

    • $268 for me, 175/65-14's
      .

      • Lol 14's, what are these?! Tyres for ants?!

  • The people that called up, did you get a confirmation email or a quote email?

  • Hey folks, when ordering online, if you get spinning cirlce… just hit the refresh button. Do this each and every time you get spinning wheel. It then kicks you to next part of process. Worked for me in 10 sec. 4 new Pirelli Dragon Sport for $428!

  • Does pirelli have run flats ? Any deals on bmw 228i ?

    • yes they do, i ordered some for my x3 RFT and got a deal of 1163 inc alignment. JAX wanted $1900

  • +3

I went to store straight. Told me I need to do online only. I said “am not good with computers, u have a computer facing u, please book for me” 10 mins all booked for December 7

  • Can we buy but not get them fitted?

    • Yeah, but you'll probably lose the warranty on them if they're not fitted by MyCar

    • The T&Cs state that they must be fitted to a car.

  • +7

And I notice sallyj the OP has disappeared rather quickly. Probably joined the rest of the PR team curled up in the fetal position in a dark corner somewhere. I bet the store people are absolutely "thrilled" with this promotion

    • Hahahaha

  • Managed to book in over the phone.

On the website my closest location didn't have stock, and while I found another place further away that did, I couldn't get through the checkout.

Was a bit of a wait on the phone but once answered the rep was very good and was able to book in at the sale price at my local outlet.

Got a quote by email and will get a text the day before the booking. Pay at the store.

Good luck all - this is a great deal!

    • Did they charge you now or when you go to fit the tyres?

  • +1

i dont get it.. tempe tyre sell almost same price after discount? why the rush?

    • What discount?

    • +2

Tempe Tyres are grey imports, which is why they're so cheap. But there's no local manufacturer warranty. I had a friend buy a set of Kumho KU31s a few years ago that cracked in the sidewall - Tempe refused to deal with it, and Kumho refused to deal with it because they were a grey import.

      • Had this displeasure of dealing with Tempe Tyres once, terrible CS and company. You get what you pay for though, so yeah.

    • +1

tyroola through supercheap 15% discount as well pretty much same prices, not sure why so crazy probably the fact it says "50% off"

      • Agree. The prices are good but hardly bargain territory. I won't need new tyres for 6 months so not worth the effort or replacing perfectly fine tyres to save a few bucks - that's just false economy.

        • I saved $400 on my SUV tyres. I would consider that to be a fairly significant saving

      • $1260 trough supercheap/tyroola and $940 through this deal for me.

        • Could be different for different sizes, but also it could be they're not the same tyres eg there are some self sealing versions that are cheaper, there are manufacturer specific ones that are cheaper (no idea if it makes a difference), etc

      • Pirelli Dragon Sport 245 45 17
        Supercheap - $683
        mycar - $496

28% less with this deal for my particular tire size. But prices and actual discount varies greatly between sizes.

        Wonder if they'd price match?

        EDIT: forgot the 15% off

  • Spent a hour hitting refresh on both my desktop and mobile at 11pm (Qld time) last night, and finally got through. Have a set of four Pirelli All Terrain Plus in 265/60R18 booked in for next weekend for a total of $668. I'm rapt. Its literally the cheapest set of tyres I have ever bought in my life. And I had my eyes on the All Terrain Plus for a while - I reckon they will be perfect for my needs, and there's good feedback on them.

  • -1

Wow, what a crappy website. None of the search functions work. Then I got kicked back in the queue after 5 minutes

  • Decided to put an order on the phone this morning (early morning), however, wondering, given that no payment, can they turn around and cancel it? should I just order online and pay or phone booking safe?

    • Always a chance it could happen. I played safe and paid online in case they run out of stock and bump me. I heard it happened last year.

  • Tyre price for mine has changed by $20 since yesterday

  • Guys, is any of the Pirelli tyre lasts as long as Turanza 50k km? Or are they generally shorter life? Only after longevity and cost savings.

  • finally got my order through after 30min

Desktop was hopeless, couldn't get to the choose date page and got the dreaded bad gateway a few times.

Ended up completing order via mobile.

  • +2

OK so I went to Mycar for a simple tyre change. They told me that the rear brakes need urgent changing. I checked them and they had 50% left. I changed them myself for fun because I was selling the car and wanted the new owner to have nice and shiny brakes but DUUUUUDE! Mycar thought I had no idea. But I can do basic thangs yo!

These goons may offer you $100 off service but charge you $1000 for unnecessary thangs man. Peace out dudes.

    • I just tell whoever is servicing don't worry about extras.

List them, but don't do any of them.

      • TRU DAT! I just service most of it myself.

I just go to mechanics for big jobs like replacing suspension/ brake flush etc. I should really do that myself also but too lazy and worried that I might muck it up.

    • funny story, myCar couldn't reset the service interval on my car. A quick google search and I could do it in 2 mins…they said it will be automatic…i do wonder how they service the car with such poor knowledge

      • It's the general disinterest in anything that they don't know or comfortable with. It's rampant with almost ALL tradespeople including mechanics.

  • +1

When I am on date/time page, i click ok and it just pushed back to top of page. What to do? THanks.

    • Give up. It's not worth the effort.

  • +1

Just booked on the phone for Pirelli Scorpion All seasons tyres for next Jan :D
Hope the 4 tyres are good.

    $109 ea
    Was $219/ea

    and wheel allignment $75

    • lucky! my tyres are 220 after discount (was 440)..still cheap though ahah

      • holy moly your full retail set would cost $1760,
        that's insane to think about.

what tyres are you getting? diamond wheels? xD

  • -1

if you cant book online due to limited stock or oos, just call the 13 13 28 its a painful 40min+ wait but they have stock & will book you in

  • I'm on phone line waiting 27 mins till now.

EDIT 11:47 AM: got connected after 38 mins waiting and got booked in in 5 mins call. Happy here.

  • Keeps hanging at on the payment page… Bloody frustrating!

  • Hi all, I ended up heading into my local store and was advised their phones are down. The dude had to use his own mobile to call the supplier but I was able to get 4 new all terrains for $656!

  • +1

continue billing just scrolls back up to the top of the page… lol ain't happening :(

  • After 20 min queuing for website then 50 min on hold, managed to grab 4x245/40R19 P4 BUT she couldnt take payment and only set out a quote confirmation which states they will advise if any problems sourcing tyres. Cant get thru to local store to confirm booking/tyres so what's the bet there will be a problem sourcing?? The lady on the phone said they will be doing the bulk orders after today once all orders are in. There wont be that many Pirelli tyres on the planet & once they realise their overall loss, there could be a calmity at MyCar

    • No they did this last year so would have a sense of what’s to come. Except their website which is horrendous

  • I managed to get through and booked a set of 4 PZero(MO) at $536 which is a great price. I was on the phone for about 30mins if people are wondering. I chose to ring then as I want the tyres to be fitted later and pay later.

  • Keep getting Invalid Form Key. Please refresh the page.

  • phone line is down - is there any ther way to contact?

  • Finally got my order through after gazillions of refreshes etc, booking locked in via the online site etc. Alot of work but done.

  • anyone able to find 175/55R15 types?

  • It’s not a real 50% off but its still a decent discount.
They advertise on their site the tyres i just bought rrp for $320 but a quick search shows $200-250

Still.. not gonna complain about $40 off a tyre.
    Great timing for me

  • Thanks OP, bought 4 tyres

  • Bought x9, 4 for mine and 5 for my partner

    • Why 5?

      • She's going from a 265/75 to a 275/65 so also need to replace her spare

  • After hitting many refresh, finally made the booking for ATR Plus and the wheel alignment. Great stuff, Thanks OP!

  • Can I just buy and click collect the tyre for future, without a booking?

    • No

      • ah, bugger…. I dont need it now, but would be good if you can stock up for next year….

        • +2

Get them to put the Pirelli's on and you can keep your old tyres

  • +1

Just ordered 4 x 265/65/18 AT+ at $187 each they are well below cost price.

  • For those of us that booked over the phone I noticed the quote states "the tyre prices listed are valid for 7 days from 26/11/2021".

If you're booked in for a date after that, could the store just reject the sale claiming the price is not valid anymore?
