  • No Pirelli tyres fit my car according to the lookup.
    265 50 R20, sports SUV.

  • Any Tyre guru's here can compare Pirelli P6 to Toyo Proxies cf2 and Continental UltraContact for 195 65 R15?

  • Can you take just rims there? I have illegal/unsafe tires on the current rims. (where the two ends where joined have a 1-2mm gap.) So they aren't legal or safe to use on the road. Or is fitting mandatory just so they can ping you for other things like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUpQizgs_Yw ?

    • +2

never been to a tyre shop that wasn't cool with you just dropping off wheels. probably saves them time and money.

  • When the availability says "limited", how long does it usually take to order them in? And does that not qualify for the 50% discount?

  • Hmmmm. Yesterday I checked prices from MyCar for our SUV. Pirelli's $399 each. That would come down to $199 each in a 50% off sale - pretty good!

Checked today, just hours before the sale starts and the tyre has changed price to $549.00 ea.

    What's with that?

    • +1

Hope they stay true to the deal and not try to Jack the prices like some other retailers before promotion starts

  • did chat they said you only need to buy 1 tyre to get promo but not sure if mismatched tyres at the rear would be safe? also dont you need minimum 2 tyres to get the free road side assist service?

  • +1

Warning: Make sure you check if they have fitted correct tyre (as per you order) before leaving.
Last year, they fitted wrong tyre to my car wasted 5-6 hours driving back and forward then wait at the shop. They eventually fixed the problem.
They promise the store manager will call me, but never happen

  • i rang mycar this morning to double check that if a tyre says limited availability at my store if it was still a part of the deal tomorrow and he said yes. hopefully he is telling the truth, i'd hate to be waiting in a long phone queue tomorrow just to be told no.

  • $495: Pirelli P ZERO ROSSO (N5) 91Y - 225-45R17 91Y
    $239: Pirelli P ZERO (*) XL 94Y - 225-45R17 94Y
    $249: Pirelli CINTURATO P7 (AO) 91Y - 225/45R17 91Y
    $249: Pirelli CINTURATO P7 XL 94Y - 225/45R17 94Y

The Rosso is too expensive for me.

Of the other 3, which one is best for the Golf TDi 2015? The descriptions aren't very helpful. TIA!

    • +1

Ouch that low profile makes such a big price increase 235 v 225 cinturato 25% difference

I wouldn’t say specific models are suited to specific cars.

All that matters is the size for the car rest is marketing. For everyday driving all these tyres will give you same “performance”

My thoughts are that the tread pattern becomes a personal preference as there are so many variables in normal road conditions that any test they do on a track is probably not appropriate.

Generally the more “aggressive” or higher “performance” tyres will be softer and wear out quicker

      • Good to know mate, thanks for that. Probably go for the Cinturato as that's in stock and the P Zero isn't.

  • +1

Can I get a wheel alignment instead of the $100 logbook voucher?

    • +1

Would like to know as well. And can it be booked on the same day as fitting?

      E.g tyres after discount = $600
      Fitting = ?
      Alignment = ?

  • What is the range on the Pirelli DRAGON SPORT XL?

    • +1

Staggered setup rear wheel drive on my car I’ve managed to get about 38000km for rears and 75000km on fronts if this helps.

  • Pirelli P ZERO NERO XL 84W 205/40 R17 are the only suitable ones for my wheels (Can't go up to 205/45 as 205/40 is already pushing it in terms of size). On the website yesterday but gone today… Will call tomorrow and hopefully they can source them! Current tyres 7 years old so due for replacement…

    • +1

Check the site tonight as stock should be updated when the sale starts, otherwise give us a call on 131328.

      • Still not on the website… Time to battle the phone line. hopefully not going to be a waste of time…

  • Is there a fitting fee?
And do I need to have a wheel alignment when having the tyres fitted please?

    • No, price includes balance, fitting and disposal.
Don't need to get an alignment.

  • Would i be able to order the tyres on the phone during the sale and pay in store when the tyres are fitted? Planning to use a new credit card to pay for them but it hasn't arrived yet..

  • Should I get dragon sport or cinturato p7, which one lasts longer? and which one has better grip in wet?, Thanks in advanced guys!

  • Shame there's nothing listed for a 215/40R17 in the Pirellis according to Mycar, but others have the P Zero Nero GT available….

  • Speaking to someone I know at a MyCar store outside of my state, he tells me most people have buckleys to none chance of getting any of these Pirellis especially the more common fits like 245/40R19. Rang around to 4 WA stores and nearly all of them laughed at me. This seems a typical MyCar Pirelli "special" with only one set of 4 tyres in the whole country. @ of the 4 stores I called were very quick to recommend other "just as good tyres"

  • Pirelli CINTURATO P7 (AO) 92W
    Pirelli CINTURATO P7 (MO) 92V

Does anyone know what AO and MO are? Is it Audi/Merc only?

    Ta

    • +2

      Correct!

  • I find it interesting that there is no mention of fitting fee and balancing. Yes, the standard service and pricing does, but there is no mention of it in the promo details. Am I missing something?

    • mycar Standard Inclusions
We go the extra mile when you buy tyres.
You get all this extra stuff, free:

      Free tyre fitting
Free standard wheel balancing and tubeless valve
      Free environmentally-friendly tyre disposal
Lifetime tread guarantee against manufacturing faults
Free Tyrelife Saver Program that will help extend the life of your tyres on purchases of two or more

  • Whats the difference between Pirelli CINTURATO P7 and Pirelli CINTURATO P7 S-I. Whats the S-I?

  • Even with $100 off their logbook service seems a bit expensive, though it does come with 12-month warranty which makes it somewhat reasonable once you factor that in.

  • Website is down. I want to have faith but…

    • Amazing the sale started early. Got four PZs

  • +1

    Discount is live

    GO GO GO GO

  • Limited stock so can't order online. Number says store is closed?

  • +1

Website working and sale started early! Two things I did not expect…

  • Got 4 no. PZ 225/40/R18 for $540. (MO) but from what I gather, no difference to the stock model.

    • +1

Exactly what I got. What a baragin.

      • I know right. Crazy price. Haven't the slightest idea why the (MO) was cheaper than the other models. Maybe older stock, but for the price who cares.

  • Yep site didn’t crash like last year. Ordered my tyres without a hitch. Thumbs up

  • +2

yay sale started early, ordered tyres without any issues

  • Kinda dumb that you can't use Flybuys cash on their website (and don't get me started on why Coles Online doesn't even let you pay with Coles GC)..

  • +1

The site is having a meltdown… hahaha

  • Ozbargained - site struggling

  • +1

I got through OK - before midnight tho hehehe - booking complete!

    • LOL hope you used the correct link as per Ts & Cs or you be paying full price. Promo link was not live earlier.

  • BF deal went live at around 11:54

Managed to get a pair of P1's for my trailer at 11:57

    • I saw it and decided to wait in case they don’t honour the deal per T&C which states orders between 12:01am 26 Nov.

  • Site getting hammered ATM… getting 502's galore! :(

  • 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable

Damn son that didn't last long. Just before finishing payment

  • So close. Spinning at payment page.

  • Yep, got to the checkout page and got 502'd. Its gonna be a long night!

  • +1

Funny how you can go through all the stages, but they don't want to take your money

  • DO WE PAY ONLINE OR AT THE STORE?

    • +7

Quiet please, some people are sleeping here

    • +1

Even Ozb is slow for me

  • +1

Dammit bloody shopback $15 eBay giftcard distracted me from refreshing this thread and didn't get in early. Now it's just spinning circle…

    • lucky, I missed out. It was OZB in a minute

  • Crashing galore here. Bad Gateway

  • This is crazy 😂

  • +1

Do I need to select stores individually to check stock all around?

    • yes some store allow booking others you have to call..

  • +1

can't even create an account. am i looking at the wrong place? even when i select the tyres, they don't even hit the cart.

  • 502, 503 and 504 on the DDOS bingo card!

  • +3

Could they please set up a better website???

  • +4

I hope the tyres last longer than their website does

  • +2

Even backend has crashed, nice work to whoever build it. (Greeting from a developer)

  • +6

Wasted half an hour given up, backend needs a restart, doesnt looks like they will fix it tonight

  • Any point waiting?

    • +1

probably not, just get up early and give it a spin.

      • +3

Still no doubt many will sit on the website half the night hitting the refresh button for FOMO

      • +1

It’s annoying. I could have ordered earlier but waited to meet T&Cs. I hope they do something about this but I suppose they won’t.

        • +1

People had to use the promo link from what I can see to get the % off. Those that "got in early" when the link was not up might be in for a surprise

  • +1

My phone dropped the call while waiting on hold :(

    • Are you sure they r taking calls now?

      • I spoke to them the other day after the promo was announced. They said the call centre was 24/7.

        • What they have one person on?

  • +1

Has anyone successfully checkout out after 12:05?

    • +1

Nope, have only twice reached the final Place Order button with the CC details all in, with failure message after about 30 seconds in the bottom left corner of screen "Something went wrong with your request. Try again later." Nothing has hit my card yet but I'm not that keen on multiple retries of that last payment step!

  • Try again in a few hours

  • +2

I made it until the payment page and vola, 503, well-played

    • yeah same

      • I go to sleep now, waste of time tbh.

  • been on the phone for 50 mins.. might give up after an hour.

    • If it's like telstra, they'll only pick up after an hour.

      • +1

you can at least complain to the TIO with telstra and get some $

  • +4

Going to sleep. This is ridiculous.

  • +2

So no one has successfully checkout? After 12:01?

So r we wasting our time?
