  • Will it work on preorder for games? Actually wanting to use the Amex $20 back 100 spent

    • +1

So long as the pre-ordered item is shipped within 60 days from purchase, it should be sweet :)

  • if you have one transaction with multiple sellers, will it track or do you have to make separate transactions?

    • That'll be fine.

      • Items sitting in your Amazon cart prior to clicking through our links will not be eligible for the Flash Sale Rates.
I advise you to add the products you want to your Amazon Wish List for easy access.

Does moving items from cart to "Save for later" and then moving it back to the cart work?

Are items that have discounts applied at checkout if you activate them with a click eligible?

        • +2

Absolutely, so long as they aren't in your cart at the time of clicking through our links.
This is because Amazon only pays commissions on items added to cart after the click-through.

          • @gotyourback: Are items that have discounts applied at checkout if you activate them with a click eligible?

There are items with a box that say "Apply 10% off coupon" and after you click it it will say "Your coupon will be applied at checkout."

There is no coupon code being entered, so nothing to advertise on your page. It's activated by clicking a box. Will these be eligible for cashback? Sorry for asking so many Qs.

            • @lostn: In the morning I will provide an update above.
              No need to be sorry!

              • @gotyourback: Yep clarification on this would be great.

I wanna order this. Has a 10% coupon to be applied at checkout. Will I get the Shopback cashback?

                https://www.amazon.com.au/GL-iNet-GL-AX1800-Flint-WiFi-Route…

                • +2

@RabidWolve: We've just received confirmation from Amazon:

"Promotions with automatic discounts are called Price at Checkout.
Customers can tick this box and it won’t affect cashback.
As long as they don’t manually enter a code in the 'Promo Code' field, they won’t have an issue."

If you have any further questions, let me know :)
                  Cheers!

                • @RabidWolve: Bought the same item dude very thin chances of it being approved But as SB confirmed not putting in the promo code manually but only clicking on Redeem button should not void cashback as they can be classified as Price at checkout or something like that

    • You can, but separate is better because if one seller cancels you could be screwed? Can someone confirm this?

      • +2

This is true, many suggest ordering each item separately.
If you decide to do this, just be sure to exit & re-enter through our links between each transaction.

      • i'm trying to make use of the AMEX $20 for $100 spend offer and no item on its own is $100 so I have to combine them.

        • Buy a gift card first using your Amex. Then pay with gift card credit across multiple purchases.

        • +1

Weren’t users in the comments saying that $100 gift cards were still triggering the credit? Could you just do that first?

          • +1

@Chickenleg: i don't like using gift cards because they don't come with price protection, which my CC does. I save a lot more money through price protection claims than discounted GCs.

  • Pretty stingy, pretty sure last year was 10% on unlimited cashback.

    • +2

was 20% no cap on the first amazon black friday

      • 20% no cap was only in the 1st hour from memory

        • Yes, this is 2 hours, no difference. FLASH cashback deal.

      • -3

Yeah but either way $25 is nothing.

        • +2

Can you give me $25 if it's nothing to you?

  • +2

You can place multiple orders, but there will be a Cap of $25 Cashback Per Customer.

Can you clarify this. Because last time you could receive unlimited capped cashbacks but this time no? I don't know how to clearly word this but will it be cashback be scenario 1 or scenario 2?

    Scenario 1:
Buy $400 item then checkout. Receive 10% Cashback (capped at $25)
Buy $300 item then checkout. Continue receiving 10% Cashback (capped at $25)
Buy $200 item then checkout. Continue receiving 10% Cashback (capped at $25)
Buy $10 item then checkout. Continue receiving 10% Cashback (capped at $25)

    Scenario 2:
Buy $400 item then checkout. Receive 10% Cashback (capped at $25)
Buy $300 item then checkout. No cashback ($25 cap limit reached)
Buy $200 item then checkout. No cashback ($25 cap limit reached)
Buy $10 item then checkout. No cashback ($25 cap limit reached)

    • +5

It would be scenario 2 in this instance.
I understand that it was different last time, but each time we run these promos we must negotiate with Amazon.
If they cannot allow more than $25 in Cashback, we must adhere to these terms.

      Cheers!

      • @gotyourback if the first item $400 got canceled or returned, will he then be given cashback based on the 2nd item (the $300 item) ? Thanks

        • +1

It should, but if there are any issues just send me a DM and I'll get it sorted :)

    • according to the NOTES above, it's scenario 2
they will fix it if they do not want to pay out extra money

  • If it cap at 10%
meaning that if you buy more expensive items
it maybe worse off compare to previously 7% (with no cap)?

    • +3

      Correct, but it's situational.
Amazon Devices valued over $392.86 (incl. GST) would benefit from purchasing at 7% as you will earn more Cashback on that order.
Any Amazon Devices valued under $392.86 (incl. GST) would benefit from purchasing within the Flash Sale hours.

I hope my maths is correct…

      • if the cap is $25 @10% wouldn't the limit be $275 inc GST?

        • During the flash sale, yes.
But I was comparing the amount of Cashback you would earn on Amazon Devices within Flash Sale vs Regular Rates.

Hopefully this explains it a bit better:

Amazon Device valued $275 purchased within Flash Sale Hours would get $25 Cashback.
Amazon Device valued $275 purchased outside of Flash Sale Hours would get $17.5 Cashback.

Amazon Device valued $400 purchased within Flash Sale Hours would get $25 Cashback.
Amazon Device valued $400 purchased outside of Flash Sale Hours would get $25.45 Cashback.

So for high value Amazon Devices, it might be beneficial to purchase outside of Flash Sale Hours :)

        • OP's calculation is based on standard 7% cashback (no cap) on Amazon products (eg. Amazon Echo, Ring doorbell etc)
Compare to 10% cashback (capped at $25) for all categories

  • Should have waited before getting my AX88U router :(

  • … Just cancelled my two orders. Can't wait for later!

  • Just wondering will there be similar cashback deals on Black Friday
as there will be more Lightning deals on the day

    • +1

We don't have any confirmation at this moment, so it's hard to say if anything else will follow.

      • What kind of cap do you anticipate there being if something does come about… $25, $50?

    • +1

And you are hoping to have s lightning deal in the window that this is offered…

  • Can I use the ShopBack chrome plugin to access this (instead of clicking through from ShopBack website)?

If using the plugin, do I need to clear cart first?

I’m pretty sure I’ve activated plugin with things in my cart before, and still received cashback?

    • +1

I'm pretty sure we cannot redirect to the Amazon Flash Sale links through our chrome plugin.
For this one occasion, I would suggest using our Website or Mobile App.

All orders will need a clear cart to begin as Amazon only pay commission on items added to cart after clicking through our links :)

      Cheers!

  • When will the cashback be paid?

    • +2

Your Amazon order should track to your account within a few days (typically 48 hours).
You will then be able to withdraw the Cashback from your account in 75 days (as listed on the Amazon Merchant Page).

      • +1

It has been 156 days and I am still awaiting cashback owed to me.

This is for multiple purchases made during the Amazon Flash Sale on 21 June.

        • Hey @cogitator,
I sent you a message when you initially reached out but never heard back, so I assumed it was all good?

          As mentioned in my reply:

I was going to follow up by asking if you also had these products sitting in your Amazon Cart prior to clicking our links?
The only reason I ask is to try to identify what might have caused the tracking failure in the first place.
It could simply be an error with tracking on Amazon's end, as they're the ones who report your orders to us.

It looks like there may have been multiple orders made under the same click? If so, this would be the reason why tracking has failed.
Amazon tracks your order up until checkout.
Once checkout is successful Amazon stops tracking and reporting your order back to us, unless you've clicked through our links again.

          Cheers!

  • +1

Jeff must be struggling for the cashback to be lower this year.

    • Building a new rocket I guess…

  • +1

Would this work for buying a PS Plus membership? I'm not sure if that counts as a gift card or not?

    • Yep… confirmation of this would be good.

      • Keen to see as well. Seems like it will be blocked…

        • Ps plus card won't be blocked, they're selling physical cards!!!!

Capped me to 2 cards. Won't let me do a separate order for any more, keeps resetting qty to 0.

  • +1

I’m interested in getting the oculus quest 2. But this point is confusing.

Orders with Amazon Promotional Credits applied will not be eligible for Cashback.

Because we getting credit from amazon if we get this item $100.

    The product is $479.

    Any help please.

    • +3

I think they mean if you’ve applied a promotional gift card to the order that’s deducted off the total payable eg. the $5 bonus like here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/664837

The $100 is an automatic bonus - you don’t need to manually input anything for it to apply.

    • +1

should be okay. promo credit is usually when you complain of something and they say sorry and compensate you. usually small amount like $5
      here
      https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/252753/73667/amazongc.…

the giftcards are fine, they are your money, as you have paid them with money (but sometimes with discounts)

    • +2

ChiMot is correct, it should be fine as long as you do not apply 'Promotional Credits" as shown in that screenshot.

      Cheers!

  • +2

Is this cap $25 per shopback account or amazon account?

    • I registered 2 sb account and 3 amazon account to try out

  • +10

"..must click through our Amazon Flash Sale page..or standard cashback will apply."
That is harsh for those who may follow the normal click through procedure. No doubt there will be heaps of disgruntled SB users when they later find out

    • +1

I understand it might sound harsh, but we need it to be extremely clear.
This was also mentioned below that point:

We will be turning off these prompts on-site, but they may still be visible on your Watch List or through old links, so please avoid those.

  • Does cash back work on items only fulfilled by but not sold by amazon au

    • Absolutely :)

      • Orders from Amazon US/UK sellers are eligible for Cashback, so long as the transaction is placed through Amazon AU.
      • Thanks for that mate.

Just wanna know whether the ones by 3rd party sellers apart from Amazon US & Amazon UK are also eligible?

        • +1

Absolutely, all sellers are covered when shopping through Amazon AU.

  • Does cashback work on oculus?

    • hopefully we dont get virtual cashback

  • Does it work if I use Amazon gift to buy?

    • If you use Gift Card Credits on your purchase, that will be fine.
If you use Promotional Credits, that will cause issues with Cashback.

  • Whoops just placed a $270 order yesterday

    • +1

      (Ctrl + Z)!!

  • +1

OP, do you know if cashback applies for the 12 month PlayStation plus membership? Thanks

    • This questions has been posted several times without a response…

      • My guess is it would apply as not only does the gift card product page look different to that of the membership (which looks like a normal product) but it's also classified under 'Video Games' rather than 'Gift Cards', meaning it would be treated as such by ShopBack.

  • Very likely we will see a better rate from SN and CR in the last few hours of the sales this weekend.

  • Is it possible to combine it with individual item's promotion code on item's amazon page (where its unable to remove promo code once applied at Buy it now) ?

  • -1

Just checking that it’s only for products specifically sold by Amazon AU/US/UK?

    • Wait what only for those items sold by Amazon?, what about ships from amazon, sold by third party ?

    • +1
      • Orders from Amazon US/UK sellers are eligible for Cashback, so long as the transaction is placed through Amazon AU.

If it's listed on Amazon AU, it doesn't matter who the seller is.

  • Hey OP, would i still be eligible for cashback if the item I'm buying has another cashback offer from the manufacturer? (E.g. some Philips appliances)

    • +1

Post-sale manufacturer claim cashback shouldn't be a problem. What interferes with tracked cashback is if another party is associated with the sale at the time of checkout. If you claim a discount upfront or use a coupon code not associated with the cashback site, it will likely tag the sale as associated with someone else and not the cashback site. Claiming a manufacturer cashback after sale that doesn't impact the amount of the sale transaction from Amazon's perspective should not impact your ShopBack cashback.

      • -1

Thanks, thought so but you never know if something could go wrong, specially with shopback

        • +1

          Ouch?

          • @gotyourback: yep, sorry, my experience in general is good, but htere have been some small cases where cashback hasn't been tracked, so in this case i'm thinking of buying a $250 item which has a $100 cashback from manufacturer, so you would see why i wouldn't want to risk not getting cashbacks tracked. Bette play it safe and stick with the $100 one from manufacturer.

            • @pichxlonco: i wanting to get oculus that has $100 cashback from amazon itself, i think fine too as we do not enter any codes and the $100 comes later

            • +3

              @pichxlonco: Understandable.
If you ever have any issues, feel free to reach out directly and I'll do what I can to assist :)

I think in this case, Cashback provided separately from the manufacturer will be fine to stack with ShopBack's Cashback (as mentioned by phantom).
Can't hurt to try stacking, right?

  • Kindle accessories excluded, so no cashback on those overpriced and seemingly worse than last generation cases.

    • Just get cheap aliexpress ones

      • +1

I'll report back in 4 months when it arrives!

  • All those that got the $5 promo credit for $75 AMZ gift cards make sure you don't use it .
For me any relief on the 0% items is welcome but I remember last years 15% from both SH and CR ( and I blasted the `^ out of them during the 1,2 hours ) :)

    • What is SH?

    • I still haven’t seen my $5 credit yet. How come you’ve received it so quickly when it’s supposed to take a few days?

  • Also Im pretty sure you cant stack with the AMEX offer of $20 credit for $100 spent as any purchases cant be through aggregators

    • My understanding is that for AMEX deals you cannot use 3rd party payment eg. Paypal. But just in case could just purchase the Amazon GC, get $5 credit if still working (but not use it with this purchase), and then purchase.

      • Um I used paypal and got the $20 back. Paypal is linked to my Amex.

Also just got a $100 gift card from amazon which also got my Amex $20 back so I can use that with the shopback deal ;-)

  • Trying to think about what categories are 0% that have something I need….

    • Groceries.

    • usually vitamins are 0 too

    • +1

yea im trying to figure out what to even buy too, there doesnt seem to be anything too amazing on sale at the moment. Might just end up resorting to restocking the coconut water lol.

      • I'm probably buying suncreen lol

  • Will this work for PS Plus 12 month voucher?
