Was in the market for a cam, almost the cheapest it’s been. Seems pretty good from the reviews I have read

Hey JJSU, did you have any issues with the auto focus? I've been wanting to buy one to upgrade from my old Logitech cam but I've read several reviews about the auto focus not working sometimes…
Auto focus seems to be fine for me but I don't move around heaps but holding things up to the camera has been, second or two to focus and going back is a bit quicker
Yup, no complaints with the autofocus here aswell :)
Excellent autofocus out of the box. Just works
Definitely try different adapter. Mine works via a usb c to a adapter into a hub. Still reporting 1080p 60fps
I've tried two adapters and both worked from memory. Currently using a Vention branded one just because the form factor was better for me. Other one was ugreen I think
Good to know! I'll grab another sometime and give it another go.
All it showed for me was a black screen in both the Windows Camera app and OBS.
100% works with a USB-C to A adapter, just needs to be a fast speed data adapter and not any old adapter.
I am using the StreamCam with this exact 3.1 adapter connected to this exact usb switch (make sure it's the 3.0 version and not the 2.0) between my work laptop and gaming PC to get Full HD 1080p @ 60fps.
Thank you so much. Going for that exact same setup.
Seems more efficacious to buy a phone adapted as a webcam for that price
Good price. Crisp and smooth quality! Performs pretty well in low-light too.
My only gripes so far:
When recording top-down footage (e.g. my deskspace), the camera's gyroscope freaks out and constantly switches between landscape and portrait. I've found no way to lock it in an orientation via software.
Can't work over USB-C to A adapters (although YMMV, might've just been the fault of the adapter I used)
