PLUSWACACO

Regarded as an awesome portable espresso unit

"What is the difference between Wacaco Nanopresso and Minipresso?
The difference between the Nanopresso and the Minipresso is that Nanopresso is an upgraded version of the portable coffee maker machine - the Minipresso. The Nanopresso is also more compact than the Minipresso. The Nanopresso is also much lighter in weight and is more convenient to clean than the Minipresso."

Prices elsewhere are circa ~$100+

These are great, heavyish but make a sterling camp espresso

  • Damn I just picked mine up last week. 😠 great well made product though…. Great price

  • Is this as good as the super cheap auto one a few weeks back for $49? Just realised this one is not Pods friendly. Will need an adapter

  • Need to be ebay plus member sadly :(

Looks like eBay is offering 1 month free trial again for users who previously had the free trial. My eBay plus ended last week and today I signed up for another free trial.

      • It says 1 month free but then says if you sign up you will get billed immediately on the screen….anyone tried this?

        • Mine actually says $0. Don't sign up if you don't see $0. Maybe it is targeted then.

Who is even an Ebay Plus member?? Looks like I won't be purchasing.

  • I must have been living under a rock. Never heard of this before but seems like just what I need. Is it 12 volt?

Edit: i thought it was a pod machine. Looks great but i already have an Aero Express. Would be great of someone brings out a pod machine for camping

its hand pump espresso. You can get adapters for them to make bigger coffees. Got all sorts of design awards - very well regarded and makes a decent cuppa.

      • Thanks dogzilla. Looks great but I'm not sure i can justify having this and the aero express. Still tempted…

        • knockoff of the aeropress? need an aeropresso.

no millipresso. but there's a nanopresso and picopresso.

im holding out for an angstrompresso

          • @DONMAI: Sorry, meant the aeropress

@heal: haha i know. just a bad joke about the name of these products. product names are critical in marketing and often play a large role in its success. who wouldn't want a "c h e m e x"?!

ill try be helpful. i got both (aeropress go).

aeropress is always good. probably much more practical in terms of what i drink, closer to black filtered coffee than espresso.

nanopresso is cool but i dont use all too often (used for camping few times). nanopress + nespresso adapter can be useful and easier to deal with than ground. it makes small good espresso each time (6-8g? vs aeropress double that) and covers quite a very specific use that i can live without. i like it for the novelty factor above all else, definitely a cool tool.

aeropress go has the large cup quite useful when out. nanopress has the tiny espresso like cup lid that is good for only that one purpose.

  • Waiting for picopresso to come down in price for post lockdown picnic 2021

    • That may take a while. Like, post-covid picnic in 2024.

  • thanks, purchased.

  • I received a Wacaco minipresso 2 years ago for christmas and was initially impressed, taking it to my college I was studying at I could make a reasonable coffee in the cafeteria.
Anyhow it only lasted a month or so of use before the plastic internal chamber warped a little and then it could not seal.
Wacaco were no use as the manufacturing date was too far gone, and I had no receipt so they did not offer to replace or fix it.
Hopefully these ones are more sturdy.
Seems a good price, hopefully they are genuine.

i have one, it's not very good. i guess it would be better then nothing. i barely use it. i bring it along and i guess its fun for guest to use, great novelty item. i personal don't use it.

  • Thanks OP, got with the capsule adapter for $22.8 to hopefully make some decent off-grid camping coffee
