I don't get how this is useful?

When I make sausage rolls, I make a huge batch in the oven then freeze.

When do you make them? What's your address?

  • Looks like a demented jaffle maker

    • It'll work the same too

  • +2

    This ain't a sausage roll.

  • +8

This really does show there is a shortage of wives out there.

  • I wouldn't bother with the sausage roll maker but I picked up an Anko pie maker for $15 and it's good

I reckon the sausage roll one is more versatile. You can still make the traveler style pies in it. Plus sausage rolls, apple pies, etc..

  • This is what maccas use to make apple pies

    • No they don't, they come frozen and are deep fried.

      • -1

        They changed recently

  • Would it work for spring rolls?

    • +1

Spring rolls are best deep fried, imo. Also the shape is slightly different looking.

      • Yeah, I'm trying to get past that. Thought the shape might be good for spring rolls. Ta for your opinion.

Anyone ever do spring rolls in this type unit? I'd like to fill my own rolls and crisp them w/o oil.

  • they have heaps of these things… and pie makers and samosa makers

probably will drop to $7.50 to get rid of them

      holding out for $2.50

If you aren't in a hurry these make great sausage rolls, pity it's only the 4 sausage roll maker.

Aldi had the 8 sausage roll maker earlier this year, much better.

Do people not own ovens and frying pans? Don't understand the need to clog up your kitchen with single-use appliances which are the same cheap non-stick coated 'molds' and a simple heating element (pie maker, sausage roll maker, donut maker, waffle maker, crepe maker, etc)

    • +1

i get you with these appliances

but my family uses a cake maker and air fryer more than the oven due to the speed conveniece and low energy costs

    • It’s actually not single use.

My other half bought one and has made the best quiche fingers with it.

Will also work for cake mixture, banana bread etc
