HuntersMoon

Hi everyone,

This offer is limited to the first 100 purchases and the offer expires Nov 05 ( or until 100 slots are purchased ). It is available for new customers only. This is billed as a once-off purchase of $26.87 USD (~ $35.70 AUD) and gives you 6 months of access. There is a free three day trial ( no payment information needed ) in order for you to test the service to see if it is right for you.

Oeck is a new type of VPN with industry-first features which we built. We own all of our own hardware and do not use hard drives at all. Our VPN nodes are RAM only and we do not log user VPN traffic or activity. Our system is automated so that you don't need to go server surfing to find a server for channels such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. Simply connect to the VPN region closest to you and we take care of the rest. We have 30 Netflix regions available and many other streaming services.

Happy Halloween everyone!

  • So cheap!….

    • +3

      Hi mrtee,

We do these promotions from time to time in order to gain some exposure and hopefully get our customers telling their friends about us. There is no money to be made for us with these promotions, but we look at it as a bit of advertising. If you like the service and are happy with everything, please purchase a subscription after the 6 month period is over.

      Thanks for commenting :)

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.

    • ~$35.7 for 6 months isn't cheapest though.

Especially when compared to stuff like NORD, Surfshark, Cyberghost, PIA with CASHBACK offers (of 90% or above) on their 2 year +bonus plans - usually works out to be less than $15 for the whole plan after cashback.

and Even without that I'd say $90 for my surf shark for 2 yr +2 months plan upfront is still cheaper than $35.7 per 6 months.

But I aint saying that $35.7 is justified from their service (I have not used it, so cant say on that)

  • Hi

So if I would like to get US netflix I just connect to a local server IE Sydney and still get the US content ? Ive currently signed up to 2 other vpn providers and there netflix get detectd says it connected to US netflix but only shows region free or aus content.

    • Also is there an Android app that can be used on Nvidia Shield?

    • Hi Stahh,

Exactly. The idea is to keep your internet really quick and avoid jumping around earth when browsing. So, in your case, you would set your Netflix region to USA ( there are around 30 regions ) and then connect to Sydney. That way all of your browsing is fast, and only gets routed through the USA for Netflix.

We have done this for around 40 different services and most of those are automatically unblocked.

We also use residential IP addresses for the smartRouting. This has proven to work well time and time again. If you do get an error, please clear cache and restart the stream - it should work.

P.S - There is an Android app available too. We have had customers side load it to their shields with success.

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.

      • Thanks sounds like a winner.

        • Hi Stahh,

No worries. Try it out and see how you go.

          Regards,
          Peter @ Oeck.

  • Registered a free account for my trial. I'm in middle of searching replacement for ExpressVPN for Roku (Hulu, HBO Max, DTV, Netflix, D+)

Everything is default. Downloaded .ovpn file and tried to connect then I got error message :
    "Connecting to windows-sydney-udp-128 has failed."

Hmm… first impression not good at all.

Created ticket. See how it goes.

    • Hi gerrys,

I have replied to your ticket. Please take a look as we need some other information to see what may be happening.

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.

  • After playing around with my GLINET router and added .ovpn file. It connected OK but won't go to Hulu, Netflix, etc. Trying to find the DNS on Oeck.com web and only found : 103.18.84.72.

With that DNS I'm still unable to open Hulu website.

Then I found Oeck.com forum to use : DNS 10.204.2.1. Seemed to be OK to browse Hulu, but after I'm log in I receive another error message :
Fastly error: unknown domain: www.hulu.com. Please check that dis domain has been added to a service.

    Details: cache-lax10626-LGB

Ah well I think this VPN isn't working with Hulu and their documentation/how to is just not helping me (compared to ExpressVPN).

    • Hi gerrys,

In order for the unblocking to work you must use Oeck DNS. This is very important as our unblocking network is done on residential IP addresses and it is specific to the data you are trying to access.

When you reply to your support ticket, we can test to make sure nothing else on your system is taking control of the DNS and causing it to fail. It is working for me without a problem, so we just need to figure out what is causing it to break.

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.

  • Is IMDB TV USA a supported endpoint for the VPN?
Also, is OS Monterey on M1 supported for the installer? Get an error message during install

    • Hi lachhelix,

For the latest macOS we have teamed up with Passepartout VPN app. It is a paid client, but the next update will unlock Oeck for free. You can use Tunnelblick to connect until that point if you wish.

IMDB TV is not an endpoint for us, but if you give me the link to the service we can most likely unblock it without too much issue and add it to our unblocked services list.

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.

      • Thankyou for getting back to me - I'll shoot you a PM later re: imdb tv

        • Hi lachhelix,

You're welcome :) If you can, please open a support ticket and let me know through there.

          Regards,
          Peter @ Oeck.

  • Looking good, so far pretty impressed with the VPN features. Two questions,
    1) Does it block youtube adds (on mobile/IOS)
    2) Looks like if I want to change netflix countries, I have to switch the VPN off then back on again, is this expected behaviour?

    • Hi jay510,

Thanks for trying it out! Happy to hear you're liking it so far :)

      1) No. Our blocking is done via DNS. We can block Youtube ads, but unfortunately the ads and the actual video stream are hosted on the same CDN. Blocking the ads also kills the stream. For this reason we are unable to block Youtube ads. You're better off with an unblocker in order to do this.

      2) Yep. This is exactly how it is meant to work. When connecting the VPN looks at your settings and sets it up accordingly.

      Regards,
      Peter @ Oeck.
