My mate got sucked in to buying one of these a few months back, I regret not getting one after using his.
That said, I'll pass given the shipping. I have something else now.
I love the ads for this crap…. wipe the blade down the sharpener, and then straight onto the food.
Let's say for instance this crap works as advertised, is anyone not concerned with having little bits of metal shards in their food?
There's better ways to get iron in your diet folks :). Neg because a) this isnt a deal, and b) sharpening your knife immediately before using it (without washing with warm soapy water) is a bad idea!
I wash/wipe down a blade after sharpening because I mentally don't want to eat the metal shavings. However, consuming that amount of metal would not harm your body. The shavings will not cut your insides, they would just pass through your body and out the other end. If you're truly worried about it then I would also steer clear of consuming any food or drinks stored in tin/aluminium cans
