Hi all, had my eye on this printer for some time now and stumbled upon some stock of this extremely rare item at TGG combined with 10% off at TGG and $50 off Latitude Pay worked out to the cheapest price I've seen for this printer in a longgg while.
As for reviews I've heard great things for this printer from OzB community but never tried it myself, hopefully it lives up to the expectations.

I have also been looking at the Brother MFC-L2750DW, manage to find stock anywhere? was going to go with an OOW price match but looks like that is out the window, did a model replace this one that is the same or better or?
Brother printers are the most cost effective for consumables
Yeah, I remember a lot of competitors were coming out with all sorts of gimmicks like "ink tanks" etc. a couple of years ago and cut-price $20 printers. I read an article in APC magazine that did a full analysis and showed that Brother came out on top in terms of cost and features, despite all of the stupid competitor claims. That analysis also didn't take into account though how short a life span most of the other brand printers have due to the range of problems that start to pop up after moderate use. I got so sick of throwing the things out.
There was a cost and sustainability expert on the ABC a while ago. He couldn't specifically mention a brand due to ABC advertising limits but he said the "sibling" printer was the best option for both cost and reliability. And that they were the best printer to use with aftermarket toners. No lock in to original inks and toners

I have a Brother MFC-L2750DW and it should be the same toner for this printer.
Generic toners with chip can be purchased in eBay for $20 but it's prudent to purchase from reputed high volume sellers as you need to make sure that the chip works with the latest firmware as brother does update their printer software periodically.
This has been a solid printer I have it's predecessor and still going after 10 years, 20k pages and probably 8000 scanned pages
Oh wow! I thought getting ones money's worth was in convenience with home printers, guess there are other more literal ways too haha..

Hp Epson are junk and don't even start on lexmark. Yes maybe competitive cost per print but brother have also had long term driver support and also over Unix windows and other os.
Not that I get excited about printers. Just a solid little office printer.
Their colour lasers are crap
I picked up one of these lightly used on Marketplace for $50 last year - seriously top shelf printer. Toner is cheap as chips on eBay and I've hardly put a dent in it with constant printing.
Great buy at $199.

Does anyone know if this can take the genetic cartridges to bring the cost of refills down?
I have an Epson workforce inkjet I am looking to replace as it keeps blocking the nozzles and I'm done with trying to resolve.
It can, just don't update the firmware once you get it. All fw upgrades are pretty much just to block non oem toner. Secure it yourself with a separate vlan if your worried

Good guys commercial although stock is exceptionally limited from what I gather and it doesn't look like they will do delivery so not posting it as a deal.
