The only restaurants that have stayed open for me are the "delivered by restaurant" places. Very strange.
@Tony-Abbott: Interestingly I can't even get pickup at anything but "delivered by restaurant". On top of that one place that is "pickup only" disappeared too. But looks like they're all back now. Too late as I got lunch somewhere else, c'est la vie.
The delivery network is busy so have shut off the restaurants in the zone. Pickup availability should be decoupled from delivery…
In the past 3 days, my local restaurant has been declining my order payment every time I apply the $7 promo code too, and so I couldn't order it. They said they've been busy that's why they closed menulog for hours but, available for doordash deliveries, and I can't pick up from the store too. but, iirc menulog covers the promo value.
A local restaurant charges $3 more for their dishes when pick-up is ordered through delivery services. It's worth comparing the cost of ordering directly especially for larger orders.
That's because Menulog charges the restaurant a fee to use the service.

Protip and unsure if this is ethical but menulog always send you $5 vouchers for cancelled orders that have a $5 minimum spend. If you just order from restaurants that are temporarily/permently closed or the opening hours are not correct, you can get unlimited vouchers, which can then be used to order cheap things from another restaurant/
I don't think you're able to order from places that are temporarily/permanently closed unless they enable that option?
But yes I only found out recently and have been capitalising on that a few times until that restaurant picked it up and updated their correct business days/hours (they were shut on a Tuesday but could still order Tuesdays on menulog).
Many places that are temporarily or permanently closed don't update on Menulog. If you say have 5 accounts you can generate 15 vouchers very quickly with 3x orders from each store. Especially when combined with revoult virtual cards to ensure you don't get your card blocked.
Downside is you can't stack the vouchers, so only good for low value orders :)

I was putting in an order to pickup and part way through the order I got a message saying the restaurant is no longer taking orders. I then see that almost all my local restaurants are also not taking orders.
