Reward & Reward Target Rules
The maximum Reward per Eligible Activity is a monetary equivalent value of $30. This applies to all Promotions, unless otherwise stated.

You may accumulate up to a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period. Any accumulation above the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in this consecutive period is forfeited. For example, if you accumulate and redeem $300 in Rewards on day 15 of a consecutive 30 day period, you can only accumulate and/or redeem a further $700 in Rewards in the remaining 15 days in a consecutive 30 day period.

Your Rewards balance cannot exceed the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards at any time. Once this monetary equivalent value is reached, the Rewards must be redeemed (via the Reward Target) before further Rewards may be accumulated. This is always subject to the maximum accrual of a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period.

    • I did the same but had to pay $7.95 per card

      • I also paid $7.95 fee day before yesterday.

  • Hope these prepaid credit cards are safer than Coles prepaid MasterCard which recently was compromised.

    • I don't trust prepaid credit cards anymore.
Just load them immediately into your online account by "make a payment", eg electricity, broadband etc

  • Can anyone tell me if I can tap and pay at Australia Post when buying gift cards? I remember I couldn’t pay rates at the PO that way…

    • You can tap and pay when buying giftcards at Australia Post. But I did have 2 post offices who wouldn't let me split the $500 payment into 2 taps, 1 said they don't do it, the other said it must be card + cash (clearly neither one of them knows what they are talking about). Then I found a 3rd post office who was licensed (not owned by Aus Post I assume) who did do it. Does anyone know if Australia Post does officially allow split tap payments when paying for a gift card?

      • I tried Hurstville Post Shop inside Westfield twice, both can split into two Zip taps.

        • Did u try paying your bills there at hurstville post office ? Did it work?

          • @FujiFruit: Nope. Only interested in gift cards. Sorry for that.

  • off topic, does anyone know if zip Bpay bills get to the intended receiver? does it really take over 5 business days for biller to receive payment?

  • Can this work with the Coles/Flybuys Apple GC promo?
Example: Purchase $1000 worth of Apple GC cards from Coles, do you get $100 back?
Is anyone able to confirm if it works with GC purchases in store?
    Cheers!

    • +1

Yes it does but you would need to split the purchase into multiple lots as maximum reward is $30 per transaction. So for $1000 in gifts card, you should do 3 transactions at $300 each, and one for $100. You will end up with $1000 in Apple gift cards, $100 rewards from Zip and 30000 Flybuys points (equal to $150).

  • Can electricity bill be paid in Australia post using tap?

    • Best to check the payment methods that are offered at the bottom of your electricity bill.

      • It says online, direct debit or pay in person by Australia post. So does Australia post allow payments by tap or need to insert card? Can someone confirm.

        • The bills I've got that accept Australia Post payments list what payment methods are accepted. ie cash, eftpos, credit card. When they've listed credit card they sometimes narrow it down to VISA and Mastercard only. For me when they've said credit is accepted it has meant that tap and pay was accepted. Since tap and pay has been around I've only ever had to insert my card when deposit cash, never when paying a bill or for purchases at Australia Post.

  • So I spent $2000 = 6$300 + 1$200 and have $200 as points - I redeemed $30 to test but it’s not showing up as I can spend that $30 again - when does the redemption come up on the account - I remember it used to instant earlier and you can spend the money again ?

    • +1

Instant. Done once yesterday n twice today.

      • I redeemed $180 ( 6 times) though I have points 45 - it keeps telling me fail to redeem - did you had that issue after 6 redemptions ?

        • +1

Only done 3 redemptions of 30d each

          • @asc: I think the cap is 6 redemptions

        • Same issue. I waited a bit and it let me redeem one more lot. I'm going to redeem the remaining $30 later today

          • +1

@clx: 6 redemption every 24 hours. You could accumulate them and then redeem later (as many as you like but obviously depends on your limit).

  • +1

Has anyone hit the $1000 mark?

    • pretty hard to reach unless you got big family/big income/business purchase.
mine is so far around $250

    • I hit $4k if that counts

    • Yep, just under since 1000 isn’t divisible by 30

      • Where did you buy your GCs? Coles and WW require staff check for every payment, so it was quite tedious.

        • +1

Buy from manned register so don't need separate staff check.

        • +1

          As Tajid says
          Manned registers.
I’ve picked stores in my area with short/no queues to check out
          Auspost/Coles/Kmart/Woolworths
I was buying 7 x$300 Coles/Myer giftcards from Kmart in about 5-10minutes each time

          • @Bad Wolf: limit of 6 redemptions per 24 hour period.

Do you know what you are doing ?

            • +1

@popsiee: 6 redemptions is 6 redeems on the $30 rewards.
It doesn’t mean you can’t pay more then 6 transactions

  • Hi guys, is the 10% paid back in rewards rather than directly in the payment?

    • +2

When you redeem the $30 reward, it will then be applied as a payment to reduce your balance owing. You have to manually redeem each $30 reward and there is a limit of 6 redemptions per 24 hour period.

  • I went to Coles Revesby to buy 6x $300 and 1 x $200 Coles’ giftcard. But the checkout lady said, I can only purchase max 5 GC. She said it’s Coles policy. So ended up only purchased 5GC. Initially she also said that I couldnt separate the payment into 5 transactions! When I demanded to speak with the Manager she then allowed it. Could someone who works at Coles confirm on this GC policy things?

    • Kmart, Liquorland, etc all sell it. There are usually other options around. Waste time talking.

And I can confirm they are all settled as fast as Coles for you to buy more the next day.

    • +1

You can just buy $500x4 and split $300 payment at a time.

You’ll always find checkout staff like this.

I was just at JB and they said it’s illegal to split payment using the same payment method… they wanted to call police on me if I insist….

      • +1

WTF…Then lots of people will be arrested daily at ColesWorths

        • Exactly, so I went out and just went to Coles instead. The 1 hour time isn't worth arguing with.

          • @tajid: Why not buy Ultimate cards with 20x pts rebate @Woolies first?

    • When I went to get my gift cards at Coles, the staff informed me it's a max of 5 GC per store* so you can go to another place and get more. But you can definitely separate the payments they just need to be in separate transactions e.g. $300 for one transaction, $300 on another.

*this is a policy because of scammers. They even asked me if I was getting them because I received a phone call lol

      • I was asked that too and I told them I had to pay a large tax bill. The young girl just laughed and proceed scanning the giftcards for me.

    • Got told the same at my local.
Woolworths said $1000 worth in any mix of gift cards per customer.

    • Got told the same at my local Coles yesterday. Can only purchase max 5 GC and max $1k in total

      • They said to me too at checkout today and I said sure. Checked out, went back in and bought more on a different checkout. The first time I bought 1800 worth and the young cashier didn’t say anything

  • Bought some Aus Post prepaid mastercard. Anyone knows how to block it through their balance check portal? i can't see any options to block card. Can only see transactions

  • -1

Is this for everyone or only if you get an email since it's targeted? Thanks.

  • Can I ask… the transactions I did earlier today at Coles are still pending. There’s nothing to indicate the 10% rewards. I seem to remember it was all pretty easy and obvious last time with no waiting. Am I doing something wrong? Thinking of buying a TV tomorrow…

    • No worries I found the Rewards section. App and website a bit flaky…

    • When I used it on Monday, the rewards showed up straight away.

  • It is now day 5 which means for some people Maximum amount should have been reached (1k limit) anyone hit the cap yet?

  • Does anyone think there’s a chance transactions tomorrow (Saturday) might settle on the same day, so we could have one more go on Sunday? Looking at my December transactions, it seems I had one Coles transaction that settled on a Saturday, but Woolworths settled on Monday.

    • I highly doubt too, based on last Dec promotion. For Coles, it took 2 business day when I make purchase on Saturday

    • Update: all my Coles and Woolworths transactions today settled! Now time to calculate how to not go over the $1k rewards limit.

      • Me too!!!! Yeah!!! Woolworths payment is settled

  • yes i did shopping today and wonder if it will settle tomorrow(sat)?

  • Until what date is there to redeem the rewards

  • What kind of prepaid eftpos or prepaid credit cards did you buy to stock up ? I get worried doing it this way so just wanted to see if a lot of you are purchasing this and it works out, i think i have trust issues with prepaid eftpos and credit cards. Which ones are tap and pay without entering pin?Which is the cheapest fee?

    • Wish - shopping and fuel at Caltex Woolies servos
Coles Group & Myer - shopping and buying discounted gift cards from Coles in the future
eBay - I always keep a few handy, though the best deal is to buy them or Swap Celebration when on sale at Coles (eg. during FlyBuys bonus points offers) and pay with discounted gift cards (as above)

      • You sure you can use coles myer gift cards to buy other gift cards at Coles?

        • some Coles attendants would actually stick beside you to make sure you are not paying with those

        • I've done so previously. T&C state otherwise, so maybe ymmv?

      • Coles sell Amazon GC now, Rhode store, NSW.

  • When buying e-giftcards from ZIP (to get the 2.5% rewards), how long before the rewards would be credited to my account?

  • Can someone please tell me what exactly 6 redemptions per day mean? Can I redeem $30 6 times in a day bit earn more in rewards and redeem next day? So 6 redemptions is $1800 spend and if I spend 2100 will I earn another $30?

    • Yes. Problem is that only today and tomorrow is left. So I don’t know if today’s balance will clear and then you’ll be able to pay it off and redo tomorrow.

      • I spent 1800 today and can only redeem $150. Not letting me redeem the 6th $30. Not sure why.

        • Ok was able to do a bit later.

          • @Meenas: 6every 24 hours. But you can claim later :)

  • Does Coles sell $300 denomination Apple gift card? So I can buy 5 of those and they need to all be separate transactions, and will receive $150 cashback from Zip + Flybuys points?

    • Yeah. If you are lucky to find variable load gift cards.

      • borrow/steal 😉 the variable loads from aldi and Activate in coles. (Don't do joking but if possible you'll never run out of variable ones anywhere anytime)

    • +1

There's no cap of 5 gift cards. Only 75,000 points. So you can get multiple to reach $300.

  • Do I have to pay the full balance to zip by the end of this month to avoid fees?

    • +2

      The following month.

      • I have to pay $40 end Oct? is it because of increased minimum spend?

        • tajid is right. To avoid fee, you always pay off any spend in the previous month by the end of the current month, not the spend in the current month. Your statement issued in the beginning of a month mentions it clearly.

You can pay off the spend in the current month for other purposes like make more purchases later, but it is not required.

          • @Neoika: Don't know why I've $40 due 31/10 to pay for the purchase few days ago?

            • +2

@wekimekigugudan: I always ignore this system setting and manually pay off the spend in the prevous month way before the last day of the current month. I think there is a way to change it next month in your case. To be simple, just wait for the statement issued before 4 Nov and follow the instruction.

              • @Neoika: does anyone know how to setup the fee free payment option? i could't find it in the app.

                cheers.

        • Minimum payment every month. The rest can be paid by end of the following month.

$80 for those with higher limits (maybe more).

  • Got 2k worth. Hopefully another good promotion soon to get that last $10 to redeem the $30 reward.

  • i just used bet 12-1 but haven't received any confirmation of cash back

    • LooK in the app, rewards balance

      • If his location is correct, he is not eligible/targeted.

        • Nothing under my Rewards Balance

  • Anyone else got the reward for the Prezzee then later got Reward Adjusted because it got declined on Prezzee side ?

Would this count towards the $1000 reward limit?

    • I got 4 x $300 Prezzee cards on the first day (Monday) of the deal (before they stopped that on Tues), and got all my rewards and redeemed them without any reward adjustment. But if your purchase got declined by Prezzee later (i.e. the card was not actually bought), then it would make sense that the Zippay reward associated with the "purchase" (if you actually got the reward) would be adjusted (removed).

      • I think the question is whether it still would count towards the $1k rewards limit, since those were reversed. I have the same question. Guess I’ll find out tomorrow.

  • Is tomorrow last day of this promotion?

    • +2

      Yes,17th is the last day.

  • Does anyone know how long the transactions from Costco will be clear?Thank you!

    • Spent there on Friday, they only just cleared tonight

  • Nice way to get 10% off eBay GC's

  • Any way to get coles giftcard online using this offer?

  • +2

Last night I paid off my zip account and the account put on hold! Today's Sunday and no phone support to talk to. Looks like I'll miss out in the last day of gift card shopping!
