Reward & Reward Target Rules
The maximum Reward per Eligible Activity is a monetary equivalent value of $30. This applies to all Promotions, unless otherwise stated.

You may accumulate up to a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period. Any accumulation above the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in this consecutive period is forfeited. For example, if you accumulate and redeem $300 in Rewards on day 15 of a consecutive 30 day period, you can only accumulate and/or redeem a further $700 in Rewards in the remaining 15 days in a consecutive 30 day period.

Your Rewards balance cannot exceed the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards at any time. Once this monetary equivalent value is reached, the Rewards must be redeemed (via the Reward Target) before further Rewards may be accumulated. This is always subject to the maximum accrual of a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period.

      • Just got an email from Zip that my account has been unlocked.

      • I spoke with Zip, I still couldn't work out what triggered it - presumably increased usage due to this promotion. They verified payment details for the account and had this unlocked pretty quickly. Good to see their customer service is pretty responsive

        • It usually happened after 2nd large payment even if it is from the same saved credit card.

    • Same here, lol just a way Zip trying to stop us, called them and sent back some information, not sure how long it will take to unlock, saying may take up to 2 business days.

      • Has your card been unlocked? My account was locked, so 2 business days means i don't get to use the promotion again.

    • I know guys its rocket science to figure out if the algorithms of their system figures out abuse and they will stop it .
Do you think ringing asking for free money from them to flow again will fix the problem ?

I 'll finish by thanking God the better plays aren't on here because a lot of Turkeys will kill the Golden Goose :)

      • Yes, however BNPL is ready to make a lost to gain market share and improve traffic flow/transactions. Which will drive up the stock price and when it gets bought out like afterpay. The investor will get their rewards. Zip share price jumped after its Xmas promotion due to large increase in transaction. And they did a revenue raising not long ago to break into a few new market.

Could anyone confirm that using a CREDIT card as a repayment method in Zip under account -> payment method is OK? i mean zip wont slug you with fees and is treated as purchase by ANZ? (i have an ANZ visa credit card).

    Many thanks!

    • +2

Paid it off using the ANZ rewards platinum card once upon a time and no problems there - still got the points.

      • does anz cc charge cash in advance fee when using it make a BPay?

    • +2

Always use my credit card to settle. Earning points!

  • Anyone know how to refer someone to zip? I'm on the latest version of the app and I cannot find it anymore.

    • +1

      It means not available.

      • I referred someone in February using my old link even though the referral program was supposed to be not running at the time and still got the bonus.

  • Anyone can tell me how long does wws pending get clear?

    • For me, same day after 10pm Sydney time

      • For which store? Mine takes 2 days :(

        • +1

          Woolworths and Coles Both

          • @bird380: Thanks. Curious if that’s the experience for everyone for Coles and Woolworths.

            • +1

@magster: I can comfirm Coles will be clear same day if you want do next day shopping and Ill try tomorrow about wws, someone told me wws taks 2days but not sure

  • Does anyone who have increased their Zip limit know if another credit check was performed?

    • No.

      • Just clarifying, is it a no that you don't know, or you can confirm that there is no credit check/enquiry?

        • +1

          No additional credit check.

  • Got some giftcards, looking forward to the next Ebgames sales.

  • This is marked as targeted but in the comments people have stated that it isn't. Can anyone confirm?

    • Apparently you need to toggle on notifications.

    • In my Zip app on the home tab, there is now a tile with the details for this deal under the 'Get the most from Zip' section.

I would think if yours has this too then you should be able to take part in this promo.

    • I can confirm this is targeted
I didn't get the offer and have tried a purchase using tap and pay
      No rewards :(

  • Damn.. forgot it is not really cashback and you have to reach $30 to redeem..

  • anyone had issue of the google pay card not working? eftpos machine just says refer to device but there's no messages on the screen.

I end up completely removing the card and readding it to google pay and it works.

Maybe it's conflicting with samsung pay?

    • I think they say Google Pay should be the default payment app, otherwise it can cause errors.

      • yeah, pretty sure I tell it to set gpay to default but maybe I switched it back since so had to readd it again.

I'll see if I get the same error tomorrow.

        • @impoze @spamus you can use google pay and samsung pay together, without switching defaults again and again.

  • I am not targeted to the promo, just tried my luck to purchase in coles (tap and pay)
and can confirmed I don't get any reward credits on my purchase :(

    • +1

It pays to read. Many have pointed out that the deal is for people in NSW.

      • The deal is misleading for Victorians.

  • Unlike Monday, 7th redeem didn't work today. They're obviously monitoring this thread and fixed it.

    • +1

It takes some time to be reflectecd if you redeem 6+ times within 24hrs. Check the rewards activity and I think it is there. I had same exp today.

      • it did stop me redeeming the 7th time i thought my 24 hr peiod has lapsed? anyway will wait a bit longer.
BTW, my post office wont let me pay my sydney water bill nor my council rates or ATO tax bill. appearently only SOME councils takes zip and tap i was told.

just wonder how others are faring paying your bills at the post office.

        cheers

        • You don’t need to tell them you are using zip. Just tap like any credit card. Unless the council or whatever don’t accept credit card payment.

          • @spc12go: the staff member told me the bill takes on physical card only, a bit odd.

            • @Stickout: I have paid with tap cards. Try a different post office.

        • Post office EFTPOS machine, the one like big calculator, is quite bad; if it's fail to read, it will switch to insert card mode; then staff need reset payment again to try tap and go. And that machine fails 9 out of 10 for tap and go.

        • @stickout - same issue with me - 7th redemption isn’t going through - when did your go through ? 24hrs ?

  • I wanted to buy gc’s worth $4000 but my limit is only $500. I can’t make any repayments until the store fully processes my order and the balance can’t be put in credit. Is there any way I could beat the system?

    • +2

No. Bpay will take longer to process than waiting for your transactions to clear. If you overpay your account, you will risk it being blocked by Zip

      • oh, Prezze is refunding me my $300 card purchase, i guess that might lock my zip account if i have my full balance paid off… finger cross their refund only comes at midnight.

        • +1

You should be okay. I’ve only heard of people having their accounts blocked due to overpayment via Bpay (during the offer last year), not due to refunds.

          • @magster: Some people had the account blocked, not all. Some paid with bpay and credit card no issue.

            • @spc12go: Thats why I said it’s a risk, because it happened to some people.

  • Can anyone sign up now and get the offer?

    • it's a targeted offer, probably too late to sign up and get it now.

  • Damn not targeted :(

On another note, got "invited" to increase my credit limit. Yay or nay?

    • Damn not targeted :(

      NSW?

    • Yes in preparation for next deal

  • -1

Was told earlier by chat agent that its not targeted.

Spend $300 on gift card. Obviously no credit. Contacted Zip support by chat and got the same agent from yesterday and today he refused. After several tries , he said he will escalate this and some one will contact me.

After escalation, they are now refusing to credit.

    Snippet from my chat .

USER: Its not targeted or anything right ?

AGENT (Billie): It's for all tap and Zip orders from 12pm-1pm 😊

USER: I don't want to take chance in case cash back promo doesn't work for me.

AGENT (Billie): As long as it fits the criteria of using Tap and Zip within the advised times
AGENT (Billie): It will add to your rewards balance

    USER: Thank you

AGENT (Billie): Keep in mind the promotion ends on the 17th of October

USER: Its valid in Victoria right ?

    AGENT (Billie): yes

    USER: Thank you

    • Already stated in T&C as targeted.

    • Good luck lol

    • They've only told you that under the assumption you can see the promotion. It's targeted.

  • I know your can only redeem 6 times in 24hrs. How strict is that? I did 6 purchases yesterday at 12:50. Do i need to wait to after 12:50pm today to do more purchases?

    • +1

I thought that’s only apply to redeeming the $30 credit?

    • +1

Purchases are different to redemptions. Do your purchases as you would between 12-1pm. It's the $30 reward redemptions that are limited to 6 per 24 hour period.

  • Thursday, start declining the transaction even buying lunch. Guess I spent too much the past 3 days. (2k limit account)

    • Groupon works on iPhone

      • its account by account, checking your activites for the past 3 days etc.

    • My account was locked this morning right after I paid off yesterday’s transactions.
But it showed as account locked in the app and to call customer service.

I’m at 8.4K so far for this promo

      • Thanks, they said suspicious payment account issue and ask me for some code in the transcation comment where it was paid from. Hopefully i still can use it from tomorrow.

        • They we very good. Had mine fixed in about 15minutes, quick enough I could use it today.

  • can the rewards be accumulated such that redeem them later if the limit of 6 per day reaches?

  • +1

Went to Office Works today to get the only1 GC $200+$7.95 and the rep said can only do either 5 altogether or just 1…. No separate transactions cause they incur a fee… Dafaq? That's cost of doing business, and shouldn't the fee be % not per transaction…

  • +1

was working my daily 7.5% off $250 coles mastercard purchase. one of the stuff told me that there will be a promotion on those mastercard next week apparently. (NSW)

    • Buy the coles group gift card. Then use it to buy prepaid mastercard next week.

      • You can't use Gift card to buy giftcard/prepaid mastercard

        • You can as long as you're using a single payment method.

      • have you done this before and worked without a problem?

  • +1

Went to Woolies, Bought two Only 1 Visa Card in a separate transaction. Surprisingly no need to pay $7.95 nor deducted the card value lol

    • what visa card did you buy?

      • +1

It's a Visa Prepaid card called: "ONLY 1 Visa Prepaid Gift card", $25-$500

        • Thanks. Basically using zippay 10% promotion to buy prepaid visa card that can be used anywhere.

          • +1

@Freeskater: Don’t get your hope up too soon, he probably has bought the wrong card. Those card are limited to certain shops only.
            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/655167

          • @Freeskater: Not too sure

            • @bird380: Can you share the photo of the package of the Only1Visa you bought? Are you sure it is not the one with limited shop? Have you tried to pay any bills online with that card?

            • @bird380: Can you share the photo of the package of the Only1Visa you bought? Are you sure it is not the one with limited shop? Have you tried to pay any bills online with that card?

    • How much did you load on visa 1

      • $500, I bought the variable load

        • Did you do split tranx and do two taps ?

          • @hys: Two transactions, and four taps($250 each).

            • +3

@bird380: so two transactions (1 for each card), then two split payments for each transaction.

was this via self checkout ?

I did the Post Office one cause it had lower fee, but they take more than a day to clear the zip transaction, so you loose a day of benefit. Will try Woolies for this card tomorrow. thanks

              • @hys: Yes via self-checkout. my case is Woolies can process the payment on the same day after 10 PM. However some users mentioned, it took them two days. So it really depends on the individual user.

                • @bird380: can you purchase gift cards via self checkout? good to know.

                  • @Freeskater: Yes, you can. (That's what I did) But need the attendant to confirm prior payment.

              • @hys: https://imgur.com/a/fwS8v0G , my receipt for your reference.

                • @bird380: May I ask if the ONLY 1 Visa Prepaid Gift card allows tap pay?

                  • @Freeskater: As listed on the card packing, "When using your card instore, swipe the card and select credit". I don't think you can tap (Paywave).

              • @hys: so just to confirm, it doesn't matter if you put more than $300 face value onto a single gift card and nor it matters if multiple $500 gift cards are in the same transaction (1 receipt), AS LONG AS you do multiple taps of up to $300 each?

this would reap the max cashback and reduce fee per GC?

                Cheers

also could someone remind me where is the location in Zip that i can set the repayment to be full repayment /fee free. i looked up and down in my app (up to date version), i could find it:(

        • Cool. Surprised they didn’t charge anything for it.
