Reward & Reward Target Rules
The maximum Reward per Eligible Activity is a monetary equivalent value of $30. This applies to all Promotions, unless otherwise stated.

You may accumulate up to a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period. Any accumulation above the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in this consecutive period is forfeited. For example, if you accumulate and redeem $300 in Rewards on day 15 of a consecutive 30 day period, you can only accumulate and/or redeem a further $700 in Rewards in the remaining 15 days in a consecutive 30 day period.

Your Rewards balance cannot exceed the monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards at any time. Once this monetary equivalent value is reached, the Rewards must be redeemed (via the Reward Target) before further Rewards may be accumulated. This is always subject to the maximum accrual of a monetary equivalent value of $1,000 in Rewards in any consecutive 30 day period.

I bet now that prezzee doesn’t work anymore you will see a lot of people out at weekend lol (between 12-1)

  • +1

PM me quick for best digital card to buy.

    • Curious too

  • If you select "Fees waive schedule" in Zip pay payment schedule, does this mean you will pay $0 monthly fees?
    Or is there a catch?
How do you manually pay your balance straight away?

    • Yes. That is basically automatic repayment.

  • +1

Woolies, Coles in store and petrol stations is basically the Plan B for this now.

    • Also 7/11 gift cards to pay for locked in petrol

  • I did a transaction at Coles store, but seems I got only 5% cashback. Could that be an error from Zip?

Edit: Probably i received for first 2, not the third one.

  • +1

I purchase ebay gift card from Woolworths today , the 2 x 300 worked got the $30 for each back, however the 3rd lot of $300 it didn't give the $30 for some reason?

Then i went post office to pay for energy australia electricity and gas, water rates, and it was refused as it was only cash or eftpos accepted they said, there was no option for credit . They showed me on the computer screen that said choose option cash or eftpos. What a bummer.

    • +1

How many times have you claimed the $30 reward in the last 24 hours?

      • T&C limits 6 times of redemption, but no mention of earning.

        • So it’s 6 transactions every day? Thanks for heads up

      • Did 5 x yesterday, today did only 2. hmmm maybe that's why the 8th transaction of ebay didn't give me any rewards.

        • You can argue as I said above earning ≠ redeeming.

    • +2

Check rewards history. Should be there just not reflected in the balance

      • +1

Thanks it did come through . It was in rewards history and you are right it didn’t reflect balance. Strange it didn’t let me know.

  • +1

Good to know zip monitors social media and respond, if only they respond to email and chat requests from users.

My wife has contacted them about an issue and no reply…

    • Probably someone from OzBargain user is Zip staff.

      • +1

If they were really an ozbargainer they would have kept their mouth shut.

        • Zip can monitor where the money were spent yesterday easily. Since it is for freedom day in NSW, it makes sense to exclude non instore shops unfortunately.

          • +5

@Neoika: the 1 hour limit is kinda dumb if you want people to go out, they should spread out during the day.

      • +1

Well, I just noticed they now have an official rep who joined as of 7 Oct 2021: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/410423

Probably not a coincidence that they joined only a few days before this deal went live!

        • His 3 comments are not viewable. Probably in the talk with MOD section.

  • Is there a maximum number of transactions per day? I thought it was limited to one x $300 transaction but based on the comments above it doesn't seem to be the case…

    • I just asked same question. Apparently limit it’s 6 times

      • There isn't a limit on the number of transactions. There's a limit of 6 reward redemptions within a 24 hour block.
I would say for most people the constraint will be their credit limit on Zip and being able to payoff their Zip balance.

Refer to this earlier comment: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11176718/redir

      • +3

It says 6 rewards redemption in T&C per 24 hours period. However you can accumulate up to $1000. Just redeem them towards the end.

As for transaction it’s max $30 rebate per transaction. So best to do $300 per tap, however you could do more.
And it’s up to your zip credit limit and how much you want to spend.

        • So I can do more than 6 transactions every 24 hours? As long as I leave in account I can then redeem them afterwards? That will be good then.
Planning to go out on Saturday/Sunday and buy Aldi gift cards and whatever else I can think of.

  • How to do repayments? Do I need to wait all pending transactions being processed? Thanks!

    • Can do a 1 time payment once any transaction clears,
A lot of companies will be clear tonight /tommorrow

Some retailers take longer then others (based on december)

      • Oh I see. Thank you very much!

  • Can go to Auspost and buy the prepaid mastercard : https://auspost.com.au/money-insurance/buy-gift-cards/auspos…

You can choose to load an amount from $20-$500. + $5.95 Fee = Load $300, You can get $30 - $5.95 fee = $24.5 (Discount)

    • or can buy westfield cards .. fees is about 3 bucks and can be use everywhere

      • +1

But the Westfield cards are not considered as a visa or mastercard so they cannot be used for online payments, right?

      • Does anyone know if I can purchase from Woolworths a eftpos card or Westfield eftpos card and pay with zip or does it have to be paid with a savings account? Plan to use eftpos card for bills at post office if it works …

        • I haven't heard of any requirements for prepaid EFTPOS cards to be paid from a savings account, not for Woolies/Coles or Kmart/Big W at least. My understanding is that most places would treat purchases of gift cards just like any other purchase.

From my point of view, so long as wherever you're buying the EFTPOS cards from accepts tap payments, I think you should be fine.

    • I believe Auspost prepaid mastercard you need to pay by savings and not credit?

      Can someone confirm

      • You have got the wrong card, you need to buy the Prepaid MC giftcard NOT the reloadable one.

        • Thanks, i can confirm it works now.

However, i cant seem to get Auspost to work on any online sites, including PP, compared to coles GC

    • +4

Just to flag that AusPost prepaid MasterCards have been the target of fraud attacks in the past: https://9now.nine.com.au/a-current-affair/scammers-fraudulen…

Generally speaking, all prepaid credit cards are probably at higher risk for fraudulent transactions (compared to proper credit cards) as the cards generally share the same first 7 or so digits and very often have the same expiry date, which makes it easier to attack via brute force.

Coles prepaid MasterCards were targeted over the last week or so and some OzBargainers were impacted. If you're interested, the discussion about it is here:
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/654897

      • +1

Thank you for your advice. Probably will buy it tomorrow and pay the council rate immediately.

      • I can confirm that, my card got used fraudulently for Vodafone topup even though the package seems intact. They refunded me the fraud amount but they did not block the card or replace it so I had to quickly use up the balance.

You can call them to block the card and unblock it later when you want to use, you will need to register the card on their website with your detail.

        • Was this the AusPost Prepaid MC, or Coles Prepaid MC?

          • @ifuggedxyz: It was the AusPos prepaid MC GC I bought in January during Zip 10% Saturday promo. The card was pretty much used fraudulently the next day.

    • Can the Auspost prepaid mastercard be used for online payments? Thanks.

    • Can anyone do split payment at thier Australia Post?

  • Is it possible to split payments at Coles and ww? To just split into $300 taps?

    • +1

      Yes for most purchases.

Coles - not possible to split for gift card (maybe manned register this is possible?).
WW - last time I tried this was possible but my nearest store did not allow split payment for anything last month as split payments apparently cause their system to freeze.

      • Coles manned register is OK to split test it yesterday

  • Alright I am done $4200 between me and partner and already received $420 in rewards.

Will try more over the weekend once the pending transactions are cleared out.

    • Nice, what was the main score?

      • +1

Lot of Coles GCs and this is where we do weekly shopping. Also bought Wish GCs

        • What is your limit?

  • +2

I am planning to buy $2000 prepaid visa card.
I will pay the fee ($7.95) by another credit card.
    1) $500 gift card 1st tap $300
    2nd tap $200
    2) $500 gift card 3rd tap $300
    4th tap $200
    3) $500 gift card 5th tap $300
    6th tap $200
    4) $500 gift card 7th tap $300
    8th tap $200
spend $2000 can earn reward $200
    redeem $180 in one go (6 x $30) $20 left
    5) use $180 credit to buy $180 Woolworths card
    total reward $20 + $18 = $38
    redeem $30 and $8 left

Is there an expiry date for the unclaimed reward?
    Is there any better way?

    • Where can you buy gift card with split payments

  • +1

This offer is now in my app!!

  • -2

So jealous seeing the ones eligible for the offer… I readied like almost $10k worth of council rates ready to get 10% back… Dammit!

    • +1

how would you pay the council rates with tap?
someone mentioned above cannot pay bills with zip tap in auspost

      • -1

If your council office has the Eftpos machine, you can tap :)

Haters gonna hate when I get targeted for the offer and they don't.

        • You council office offers $300 per tap??? Lol???
Otherwise $10k tap equal $30 cashback. Lol???

  • Anyone know where i can get ikea gift card with this offer?

    • Pretty sure Woolies, Coles and AusPost have them in-store. I know all three have had them in the past. Wouldn't be surprised if Kmart and Big W have them too, but I'm not quite sure.

      • Saw some at Coles today

    • woolies has them

  • Does anyone see their account on hold - contact customer care?

    • All the time usually because you did something suspicious eg put accounts in credit or make multiple repayment in a day. What might you have done?

    • Same here. All I did was a single repayment this morning to pay off everything from yesterday’s purchases.

    • I called Zip. They said it was a security lock that “happens all the time” but couldn’t tell me why it happened. Account needs to be manually unlocked by another team and they couldn’t give me a time frame when this would be done.

      • When I added the 3rd card for repayment last time, it triggered it.
