  • Sold out and $4 cheaper from dx hk

  • I've seen cheaper locally which also have DAB+.

  • I bought a DViCO tuner once, never could get the thing to pick up a decent picture.
Even bought one of the portable antennas shown in this deal and still useless.

And its $17.40 if you dont get it from the AU warehouse.

Been around for years around that price so not sure why its an awesome deal.
Where do you get the save $50 from?

  • cheaper on ebay.

  • I'm sure I've seen sub $10 delivered from HK.

  • I bought one of these from DX a couple of years ago for about $20. I don't think it is a bargain at this price now.

    Classis first post fail.
Should have done your homework on this item.

I got a similar item from Dick Smith. I recommend you buy rabbit ear antennas for them (Good ones for $10 at DSE) as they will improve your signal majorly!

    Real USB 2.0 port

Lucky! I'm sick of all those fake USB ports!

    • Lucky! I'm sick of all those fake USB ports!

Places like DX used to be full of gadgets with "USB2 (*compatible)" ports that did not work in high-speed mode.
      ie really USB1.

The included antenna is useless in Australia. But you can cut the cable and splice to one that fits our 50ohm wall sockets.

  • I bought a $80 tv tuner from harvey norman "kaiser baas" and it has stopped working now. such a simple piece of tech though, i have seen them for $15 in the shops. handy to put on the laptop when on the road.

  • Bought similar device from Harvey Norman - similar price - about a year ago.

I live in an apartment tower in near centre of suburban Sydney - on a high level floor - still couldnt pick up any more than channel 7 and the ABC TV.

If you can't take it/send it back easily - then I'd give it a miss.

I'd want to see independent reviews/video of it working on a laptop picking up ALL free to air channels in an Australian city before I would consider buying.

  • Not worth it

  • Would this pick up the HD channels ie. 1080i ?

    • Yes, but that's not the main issue.

  • These things suffer from poor reception due to the small size and weak amplifiers in them. Even an external aerial doesn't help much. I tried one and it was a mistake because the signal is marginal in my area as it is.

  • It worked fine connected to my rooftop aerial, only for a few months though :(

the included little antenna is rubbish
