Just received this SMS regarding the bonus offer:

According to the FAQ, it will automatically be removed after 12 months.

    Not to complain about free data but this is much better than what Amaysim offered me - an extra 10GB for 28 days.

      I've been with Optus for 9 years, spending $150 a month with them. I got nothing. It's not loyalty.

    Received this - no text but shows in the app. Honestly don't see myself even using this but will activate anyway - I really only use 1-5GB per month and I've got unlimited (1.5Mbps after all used).

        Yes, I checked the "+ Get More Data" and even went the other way via Services> Buy More Data. I only had options of 2GB $5, 10GB $10, 30GB $20, and Unlimited Data Day $5 - see screenshot here - https://imgur.com/a/TgbqBt3

        However, my friend who also uses Optus didn't receive the SMS, but did have the 20GB $0 option - see screenshot - https://imgur.com/taerHvo

          Have you tried rebooting your computer? No seriously, maybe update the my Optus app and log off then log back in.
          I did not get the sms but offer was there. After claiming the offer my app did not update with the extra 20GB until 24 hours later. So maybe log off then in might help

    Lol, I received, on $45 per month 60GB from a few years ago and got another 25GB somewhere along the way so now 105GB. Just checked and I've only used 8.19GB this billing cycle (1 day left).

      Same. Went for a look and activated it. My off spring are stuck home most of the time so don't need it really. But Optus have become incompetent in last year or so, so hey take it!

    I got the email but confirmed with other people that don't that they can still follow the process and it showed the 20gb Auto renew option as free for them too in the add on section of the app.

    Also noticed I had the offer advertised in my app whereas the other people didn't but still worked.

    I didn't receive any sms about the offer but managed to get a total of 60GB extra on 3 of the mobiles on the account. Hardly use all up due being mostly at home. Will use it to "donate" your data to their charity for a good cause. Thanks OP.

    $32 a month now for 30GB(+20GB next 12 months) with Optus Sport for Premier League. Plus 12 months free subscription to Amazon Prime. Don’t think I’ll find much of a better deal out there.

        My apologies iioisac but I believe my plan was an advertised special plan which is no longer available. I signed up to it 3 years ago. Nothing better has ever appeared and they can’t force me to change.
