Velocity Frequent Flyer members who fly on eligible Virgin Australia services from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022 30 June 2022 (offer extended) will receive a significant boost to the Status Credits they earn.

The retrospective offer, valid for all existing and new bookings, will see members earn up to double Status Credits for Economy bookings^ and up to 45 per cent bonus Status Credits for Business Class bookings^.

The bonus Status Credits will automatically be applied to a member’s account after travel, with no need to activate the offer.

  Having a high status on Virgin doesn’t get you much nowadays.

  It would be good if statused members got free food and drink on board, something like that. Nowadays you have to pay $6 for a cup of 2 minute noodles.

  Will hit Gold once I complete my flight on Monday. This offer extension might just make Platinum a possiblity looking at the work schedule.
