non at 2 of my local coles express
Same thing happened to me, Though Coles Express staff told me to try at the main supermarkets instead.
how many GB of data do u get with this? 2-3GB? then count me in :)
500MB (and that's if you take the Encore option% when you apply the recharge)
% I lost track of the names they've called it, plus, encore, etc. It's 100MB + 400MB bonus for 30 days.
So… piss all. =(
Depends on what you are doing. I had a hard time getting up to 400MB with checking my email and doing search many times during the day on my Amaysim trial. Similarly with the Woolies trial. And that was even with a few downloads to a tethered computer. But if you are the type to watch youtube on your smartphone, then it would not be enough.
400MB**, theres no +100MB bonus now
data = 700MB
isnt it 3Gb for ipad if you dont use the voice? :D
That is what is shown on their website but when I activated it last week I still received 500 mb..
Yes this oft-repeated discount certainly ranks as Telstra's most generous, although it looks to be facing some high level pressure from spruced up 'Turbo cap Plus' offerings in the marketplace.
So I've pondered, could 'Cap Plus mean the beginning of ways one might -escape- being slugged for nonsense gimmicks Like "charged SMS service"? Likewise, the exile out of time-based metering to effectively give way to Uncharged weekends, seems to be a bright new format by Optus.
Come to think of it, if you take "$300 included credit". scale this sum to account for the uncounted 'bonus'-Turbo week end-as infinite-time (7day-week /5 = a 1.4X multiplier) then you've an adjusted $420 value when comparing to such deals as above.
420 /$19- akin to getting $22.11 Telco money in exchange for each real dollar expensed, although admittedly, falling short by a few dollars of this deal's $25 per $1 after massive 67% discount.
Remove all specials though and optus is demonstrably ahead : providing (420/$30) !$14 telco dosh against telstra's meager (250/$30) $8.33 per dollar spent. Close to 70 per cent extra value and even before considering data gbytes (+options like dollar days).
I'd suppose then, finally, Short SMS service, charged now nought on said 'decent'^ plans - could be in the equation for others.
This deal comes up every 2-3 months ususally, nice when you need one.
Yeah, it's poor value compared to some of Telstra's competitors. However a friend of mine found it useful when travelling to country Australia. In my own travels there were a couple of spots where Optus did not reach and the only provider I could see on the list was Telstra.
That's brilliant greenpossum. We're in the process of switching from Telstra as postpaid contracts expire and had planned to keep a long-life plan going for those sort of situations. Yours is a far better idea though.
I know I've always bought 3-for the price of 1, planning for such field trips. Always a sensible backup, and smarter having two options instead of one.
Acivated mine today over the phone for data use only and she said that it comes with 3gb if used as data only service.
I bought one of these today and it was a regular size sim. Do these kits come in microsims and are they sold by Coles Express?
Not that i'm aware of. But what about bringing it to a Telstra shop and ask them to cut it? I am thinking of doing that later in the day..
Ok I just found out that you'll just have to bring that sim pack and your ID to the Telstra shop after activating and they'll help you change to a micro sim for free.
is there a way to transfer credit from one sim to another .. i'm thinkin of buying a few
