      pretty much same
the whole brand is moving in to subscription model, that's very unfortunate as they actually good cameras

  • Anyone have personal experience with these units?

Also no mention of smart home integration with Google or Alexa?!

I have Arlo cameras but subscription is killing it. If you don't take subscription, there will be unwanted notification on your phone.
Without subscription it is not worth it.

  • Why does this look like the camera bump on my Nokia 6.1?

    Plans here: https://www.arlo.com/au/landing/arlosecure/default.aspx

    Starting at AU$4.50 a month

  • i have been looking at some of these video doorbells on Alibaba. Not interested in paying subscription when I have my own NAS setup.

    • I was looking too, but in the end decided it wasn't worth the risk of having a $90 piece of garbage.
Then I was thinking of going Eufy, but then decided I don't get enough doorbell traffic to justify $250.

      • lol exactly!

  • What happens if you don't have a subscription?

  • I have the wireless version. Without subscription, it'll function purely as a video doorbell (no security camera functions). Which is fine by me, I've added it to my google home app and it uses all my google home/hubs as a chime + my phone for 2-way coms.

  • I'm still tossing up, looks like Amazon have matched …
