        this is Samsung - not some small family business

        Can you imagine how many orders Apple would have had to juggle on the iphone 13 release day last week? Have a read of the forums, zero complains or hiccups

        Also as mentioned below - Samsung are shipping some orders immediate and leaving some to sit in warehouse when they were ordered week earlier

        • a release is different as they are expecting an influx of orders
          this deal they prob didnt think it was going to be this big or the higher ups didnt get more people and thought their workforce they have wore enough

        • To make it even more laughable, I just got a Samsung email today saying Congratulations, my order has shipped! I ordered from 18th and it was dispatched on 20th for god's sake.

          I already know from StarTrack tracking that Shipping info was received on 25th, then I got an SMS with tracking no on 27th with estimated arrival on 28th.

          Now it's just sitting in their depot in NSW with no movement since 27th.

          What an absolute joke.

      You will get after-sales support, it's not a gumtree seller lol. it won't be 'zero' after support, that is a big exaggeration. If that was the case there would be so much slack against Samsung, consumer cases, etc. I'm yet to hear that happen. So don't sweat that.

      but I hope all goes well.

      Also, live chat would not be able to help that much, as the supply chain is handled by another company (DB Schenker), so Samsung can only check and do so much. So my guess is, they'd really step in and check with the warehouse if its been a concerning amount of time such as 2 weeks.

      The $50 newsletter one is valid for a few months I think, but the other ones are only meant to have 7 day expiry.

    • You have to enter all details - credit card, etc and also I had to continue the process on the phone that I was trading in on! (an iPhone)

      It wouldn't work for me any other way but I got my order in.

      Just had an email off Samsung saying StarTrack will have delays up to 10 days.

        And yes asurion took $1 off from my cc already.

          that is correct. You did nothing wrong

          They take a pre-authorisation amount of $1. It's probably to verify your credit card is valid.

        • On the iPhone App it gave me the code before I'd entered CC details.

          Maybe try and get in touch with chat..

  • Ordered S21 on the 18th. Phone was delivered to me on the 23rd (Melbourne, day of the StarTrack strike). I just got an email from Samsung stating that my phone is on it's way. Hope they made a mistake and they give me another one!

        Presuming eds is the loyality code. ODS is the broken phone before s20 and cds is broke s20.

    I have just gotten an email from Asurian with instructions for sending make my old phone. It says in the email to make sure you send it back within 7 days to avoid a "late return fee". Is that the admin fee people have been referring to?

    Anyway, I replied to the email and said I now want to keep the phone and asking for instructions on paying back the trade-up value. I'll post what I hear back from them

      I dont know if the $60 admin fee will be charged this time. I'm in the same boat as yours. Let's wait and see.

  • So I got the navy blue 256Gb S21 Ultra 5g which is saying will take 6 to 7 weeks for delivery. In the trade in app I said my S10+ has some screen issues so I got a trade in value of $5. I will still get my phone right even if I don't send my S10+ in the next 7 days for the trade in? Thinking of selling it after I get my brand new phone :)

  • So, I ordered two phones which finally got delivered today. I was not home. my flatmate received it. When I see the tracking number, it still says "it's coming today". I am assuming the delivery driver forgot to scan it before handing it over, however, he did ask my flatmate's name. I am wondering what will happen next. will Samsung still send me the labels to send my old phones back?

      • reading at the comments the labels will come once the phone has been delivered. However, when Samsung look at the tracking to check if its been delivered..well the postie forgot to scan so it will never show delivered….did anyone received the label before actually receiving the phone?

      I ordered a brown 17/09 - and its already in customization stage due for delivery 08/10 (so 3 weeks ) - although zero faith in Samsungs ETA on delivery

      My husband ordered a brown 10/09 (1 week earlier than me) - and still in processing stage, has not even started customisation - looks like it will take full 7 weeks or more

      There is zero consistency or logic with orders when it comes to Samsung, its luck of the draw

    Both are being delivered by Startrack so don't understand how one is delayed and one isn't. Seems like Samsung is blaming their stock issues on Startrack.

  • Startrack delivered my S21 to Melbourne on the 27th, picked it up last night from my parents (mailing address).

    The S21 is noticeably smaller than my S10+ in the hand, same weight exactly but easier to hold. It will be easy to forget how the extra .2" is after not having them side by side.

    The 120hz screen, you notice straight away. As I use my phone mostly for scrolling articles, it's a decent sidegrade for me. Phone is nice and fast, as is fingerprint sensor.

    I like the plastic back, I think I will go without a case and risk it, it has victus glass. I have a nilkin wireless magnetic car charger mount and my S10+ had a wireless magnetic case, so you just pop it in the car effortlessly, but they don't make cases anymore, for S21. I have a spare magnetic U shape thing that was in the box, if I find it I can use the rear tape to affix to S21 so will try that.

    • Does it come with the fast usb c charger and cable or do you have to get those yourself separately.

    • What did your tracking number look like? The tracking number that I got in the 7-10 day delay email isn't an official Startrack number. Startrack Numbers are alpha-numeric and 14 characters long and all I got was a 10 digit number.

      • The 10 digital is from Samsung and gives you a startrack tracking number when it's in the system

        • I have the 10 digit code on the 7-10 delay notification saying your order with tracking number ____ may be delayed by approximately 7-10 business days and the Samsung website says the order is Dispatched. So when does the actual Startrack number come in?

  • I was trying to get a second handset but Exynos 2200 has AMD gpu. Hope They have this kind of deal for S22. I need that AMD gpu for those switch emulation!
    Only question is can i reuse my Trade ID if i don't send the phone.
    But i guess i can just use the new phone i got when the time comes.

    Hey guys, I lost my debit card that I used for the trade-in but Asurion still needs to deduct the trade-in value (not sending in my old phone). Does anyone know if you get any emails to update your card info or something if they are not able to charge your original payment method? Thanks.

    • I would assume if there is an error or technical difficulty be it wrong email address or payment info or method they will contact you using whatever details of you they have be it sms, call or email.

      But i am just guessing so not sure.
