Or to just grab files off a drive that’s not booting..
not sata ssd but m2
M.2 SATA
It's still SATA, it just uses an M.2 interface
and in the drop-down there's the 2.5" SATA available too.
Long shot, will this fit an Apple M.2 SATA drive like the OWC Envoy Pro:
https://eshop.macsales.com/item/OWC/MAU3ENPRPCI/I don't think Apple used any M.2 SATA disks did they? only ever NVMe.
No, Apple uses a custom pin connector that's not compatible with any other drive:

Leave it up to apple to be the pioneer of what should be the best connector for hard drives hahaha…….
If its Sata only, might be useful to have that info in the title and description.
According to Orico's webpage both Sata and NVMe are supported:
You looked at wrong product (TCM2M-C3 vs TCM2F-C3).
This is what's posted by OP:
Yeah you're right, bit confusing as they look identical. From the specs it seems like the one I was looking at is a better model being able to take any type of storage.
The one posted here can only take B Key drives.
Looking to buy something like this, what SSD can get to use this inclosure?
If you're gonna buy a new SSD then might as well buy a Nvme SSD and get an Nvme enclosure.that supports USB3 gen2.
thanks for the advice
so this is a SATA to USB3 gen1 enclosure.
useful if you have an old SATA ssd you're looking to find a use for..
