  • Need to start saying yes to receipts. Just got back home from a Coles run. Would phone work for shop-a-dockets?

    • A photo should scan, but it'll depend on the person serving you if they'll accept it.

They're often attached to LL dockets too. You can always ask the store assistant if they can scan an old docket from their bin (that's if you don't find one in a basket/trolley).

    Sugary lolly water.

    • Yes, but with 5% alcohol.

  • The independent bottle shop I work at sells these for $19.99 EVERYDAY PRICE.
Love it how these massive corporate liquor conglomerates can be 15% more expensive and then bait people into a 30%+ off "sale"

    • Funny you say that, i was at a first choice months ago and the staff were saying how they had another click & collect order from a local bottlo whose getting the Flybuys points. Apparently they'd been doing multiple orders under multiple family names to get max points & discounts. One of the staff said they thought they were using Cash Rewards too.

      More power to them.

Same reason why the junk food sells out so quickly on Wednesday. Easier to get supplies from a supermarket than through an actual supplier that discounts only when you've purchased enough stock.
Although, I have no idea why one woman was clearing out all the small tuna cans on a Monday night.

    • Thats the idea with Aldi too, when things are half price at Colesworth, they;re usually a much better deal than Aldi's products.

  • Is also valid in VIC!!! Our Great Northern are only $12 6pk and the Peroni is only $45 24pk šŸ˜›

  • Is this cheaper than buying a case?

    • It is cheaper than buying a case, but you do get a lot more in a case. If you mean cheaper per bottle then the answer depends on where you are buying the case from. You are paying $15 per 4-pack here (or effectively $3.75 per bottle/$90 per case of 24).

At Liquorland: https://www.liquorland.com.au/spirits/canadian-club-dry-4-8-ā€¦ - $83 per case in QLD which is about $13.83 per 4-pack.
At First Choice: https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/spirits/canadian-club-dā€¦ - $84 per case in QLD, which is $14 per 4-pack.

So no, a case is cheaper per bottle from these retailers.

At Dan Murphy's, the cost for a case of bottles is $92.90. So yes, this docket deal is cheaper per bottle. However, cans are cheaper per mL at Dan Murphy's (and other places), if you don't want to pay the premium for bottles.
