Funny how the reviews on Umart are all done by a single person

    • +1

Lol, aggregated reviews from a sole competitor

    • Hi there,

Thanks for pointing this out. I apologise if this may have caused you any confusion; this is an error caused by the third party review service implemented on our website, they aggregate reviews from various platforms to help customers make more informed decisions. I have shared this with Umart’s management team and are discussing solutions with the third party soon to discuss why this has occurred and how we can resolve this.

We appreciate you pointing this out; please rest assured that this feedback has been shared with the relevant staff and managers to ensure this is dealt with appropriately. If you have any further feedback, please feel free to send it through to us at [email protected].

  • I’m waiting for the ck550 v2 to come back down to $69 again, this gives me hope.

    • What’s better on the CK550?

  • +1

Good deal. Way better than any Kmart, Kogan, membrane keyboard you get at this price.

    • +4

I'm pretty happy with the Kogan RGB mechanical keyboard for $39.

      • I'm not. It's horrible feels so uncomfortable to type on. Do we have the same version?

        • Mine is this https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-full-rgb-mechanical-keybo…
I also own a G910, honestly, the Kogan one feels better typing. My only problem is no hand rest and the keys are a bit high.

          • @wintersnow911: I think that's because of Romer-G switches (worst switches IMO)
Kogan's keyboard has poor build quality at this price (according to so many reviews)
At this price ($39 vs $44) there's no way you still choose Kogan.

            • @IUisdabest: Agreed. My G810 is now constantly double pressing keys.
Romer G switches are absolute trash.

Looking for a decent doubleshot PBT, Cherry MX Brown, TKL keyboard.
Have ordered the Tecware Phantom (that Void recommended below) as a stop gap.
Ducky One 2 TKL RGB Cherry Brown is on my list, although the availability date keeps getting pushed back.

Steelseries Apex series seem to have good reviews, although they are way over the top in terms of pricing
Was also looking at Razer Blackwidow TE, but reliability of Razer gear worries me, so do their custom switches (as bad as Romer G?).
Keychron and Royal Kludge were also on the radar, although KC are expensive to ship (and limited stock in Aus retailers).

      • I'm not and that's me typing now from a $7 Kmart keyboard. Better this than Kogan.

  • +1

Only the Blue is showing discounted for me @ $44, the brown is $89?

edit: must be store specific, if I change to Milton store I see the Red @ $45

  • This keyboard is cheaper than half of my current switches T_T

    • +8

Why are you sad? You willingly went down the rabbit hole.

      • I’m not sad - those are tears of joy from leaving that part of my journey behind T_T

  • +1

The Brown switch version is back up to full price.

Good boards for the reduced prices, though. Nice entry-level Mech.

  • Brown keys are showing as $89 for me. Red and blues are showing as $45 each.

  • brown out of stock.. the others are in stock (for now)

  • Blue: $44, Red: $45, Brown: $89?

  • +5

$17 delivery fee kills the deal

    • +3

Agreed, $17 to WA for standard and $30 for express.

    • -6

That definitely does kill the deal. Unfairly advantageous for those who have local shops for click & collect.

      • +2

        Unfairly advantageous

What do you even mean, half the posts on ozbargain are for local deals

        • Apologies, I just assumed most would come in for click and collect and so I personally didn't think that it was a deal breaker but can understand it may be for those who can't access a local umart shopfront and have to get it delivered.

          • +1

@tacos4brekkie: WA gets screwed on delivery on so many things— mainly as they're coming from over east. I don't mind paying a bit more in shipping, but take offense to a $10-15 shipping fee for things that arrive in an envelope.

The CK350 Gaming Mechanical Keyboard is your basic, standard-issue gaming keyboard that avoids gimmicks

    But also…

Brightly illuminated keys add flair to your wins

    • +1

Good point. However the RGB appears to be handled at a hardware-level, which forgoes the need for driver bloatware. That's one of the most common complaints for "featured" keyboards. I don't need to save my RGB profile to the cloud, thanks.

  • Blues and browns out of stock.

  • dam need a TKL one

    • I recently bought a Tecware Phantom for $69 on Amazon and it is shockingly good considering its price. The switches are hot-swappable, though only with Outemu, it's built really well, and has good latency.

I'd definitely consider it when looking for a TKL keyboard.

      • Thanks for the recommendation of the Tecware Phantom. Received mine today and I'm very impressed.
No key rattle, including the space bar. Can already notice the switches are a massive improvement over the Romer G's.

        • +1

Yeah the only 'issue' I have with it is the pinging, but even $150 boards do that so I can't really complain.

          • @Void: Thanks for mentioning the pinging. I can't stand it. It's on my expensive Razer blackwidow V3 but not on my basic 2019 blackwidow.

  • Is the deal over? It says $89 for brown switch in Vic.

    • Yeah I think's it has ended. Can't find any 49 anymore rip

  • got at red switched version from this deal, mostly to try out reds (and my ducky has issues, that when its plugged in my laptop can't boot…)

    • Which ducky did u get?

      • +1

        Rubber

      • One 2 SF..
