Western Australians given 50 per cent off tours, attractions and hire businesses in Kalbarri region
Initiative to support tourism operators affected by Cyclone Seroja
Part of extensive McGowan Government support package for communities affected by Seroja
Western Australians are being encouraged to make the most of their Kalbarri getaway, with the McGowan Government offering travellers 50 per cent off experiences in the region.
The Experience Kalbarri at Half Price promotion is supported by the McGowan Government which is subsidising the cost of tours, experiences and boat hire across the region, up to a total value of $50,000.
It follows the McGowan Government announcement of an additional $220,000 for Australia's Coral Coast regional tourism organisation to support tourism marketing activity for Kalbarri and surrounds.
The latest initiative aims to support tours, experiences and hire businesses in their ongoing recovery from Cyclone Seroja.
Visitors may choose to hire a canoe, jump on a cruise, go whale watching or take a scenic flight for example.
The discount is available on bookings made with participating businesses through the Kalbarri Visitor Centre from today (August 18) until December 16 (excluding school holidays), until sold out. Conditions apply.

Comments attributed to Tourism Minister David Templeman:
"Kalbarri is open for business, and tour operators, experience providers and hire businesses are eager to welcome Western Australians back to the region to explore our ocean-side playground.
"The Experience Kalbarri at Half Price is a great opportunity for people to wander out yonder, and explore this amazing wonderland - where the ancient rugged outback meets white sand beaches.
"Take a guided cruise along the magnificent Murchison River, or hire a boat and go at your own pace; abseil down the scenic gorges in the Kalbarri National Park; or take a scenic flight and see Kalbarri National Park from the air, and take in the Abrolhos Islands, Coral Reefs and Hutt Lagoon Pink Lake.
"I encourage you to make the most of this half price period, book your Kalbarri experience today and support our local operators in their ongoing recovery from Cyclone Seroja."
