    Have you seen what phones go through with charging cables >< ?
    Caution will absolutely be needed, but there's no way this is more force, than when your phone gets dropped or such and the cable catches it.

    Very tempted; because if this is on a lanyard or such, having a 10cm USB extension ready to alleviate that concern wouldn't be a big ask.
