Good price if you missed recent C1 deals or retailers are waiting for C1 stock.
Only difference from B1 to C1 appears to be the Alpha 7 processor in B1 vs Alpha 9 in C1

Some still have stock and are doing deals on BX. I would defo hold off for another c1 deal as the C1 65 was just above 2600 recently
$2600? Cheapest I’ve seen is that ~$2950 from Good Guys Commercial and JB, and it’s shot up to $4K now
Where did you see the C1 around the $2600 mark?
I pricebeat JB's one day special down to $2800 and paid in GC @GG out of pocket $2660 :)
@Geoff897: Yea, guy at work did this too :D i just didnt have enough GC at the time
it was $2956 the other week but $2600 would have been sweet. waiting for it
Sorry should be a bit more specific instead of throwing awesome numbers around! :) Was in JB when they were on for $29** and a dude walked out with 2 of them for 2600 each. Got told i could get the same deal if i grabbed 2 then and there, wife would kill me if i had so didnt.
Would of been easy to resell spare at a profit.
@QuickdraW: If he had had a spare wife.
Haven’t seen many reviews on the B1 at all. Main consideration is whether the peak brightness compared to the C series has been improved, which was universally the big negative coming out of reviews for the BX
That was the deciding vote for me. Just waiting for a C1 65 to hit a sweeter price point than it currently is.
Yep, same - unless a 55" price is too good to ignore. Keeping an eye out for lightly used CX and C9s too, both of which I'd be happy with.
Here's one from the UK
Not too useful without a peak brightness comparison to the C1 or CX, unfortunately
I don't think these ones are as important as the processor but I guess good to know:
LG C1 has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, while the B1 only has two HDMI 2.1 ports and two HDMI 2.0 ports
Also C1 has ATSC tuner which is useful for higher quality over the air broadcasts (if it happens in AU)

It'll be interesting whether app live-streaming kills Over The Air (although not ideal with how poor our internet infrastructure is). 4K OTA feels like it would be a long way off.
OTA has been patchy enough to make us to switch to app live streaming, and it's hard to look back. The minor downsides are they are obviously having better tracking data, and previously not all channels had live streaming, so it would often be that channel that people wanted to watch.
I haven't been watching OTA channels for long years. I don't even setup those channels. I have LG C7 and kids are using the TV for YouTube and I use it for my Plex or gaming console.
C1 doesn't have ATSC tuner, and ATSC isn't what Australia uses anyway, we use DVB-T2.
yes you are right ATSC tuner, my bad. Thanks for correction.
I know we don't have ATSC in AU so that's why I said "if it happens in AU" in my post. We barely get 1080p :)
The point is that if Australia ever gets 4K free to air tv, it would be under the DVB-T standard, rather than ATSC.

Given the recent JB deal of 65 BX's, I don't really consider this great
Know you can't get them anymore though.
