  PSA to follow up on any rejected cashbacks for phones:

  I had a rejected cashback with CR a while back because even though I bought a phone which should've tracked at 4%, it was part of a sub-category inside the 'Electronics' category which is 0%… They decided to honor it, but then downgraded the cashback to 2% shortly after :/

  Although I haven't used SB for a phone purchase, they may also not have sub-categories setup properly just as CR did not - which could lead to a rejection.

  Think it's always worth showing the 0% cats as some look a little like the above eg Kitchen and Dining under Home (say, Air Fryers) is 0% vs Kitchen and Bath under Home Improvement (eg sink strainers and plugs) is 7.5%.

  Which one is better Shopback or Cashback, what do people normally use?

  I found that that Shopback is much easier to use from both desktop (Chrome plugin) and phone apps.

    Generally cashrewards, but I usually pick whoever gives a higher cash back percentage at that time. Most of the time they are both identical.

    CR. It'll track. They have actual customer service. Shopback might as well be bots copy/pasting email templates (ones that ignore what you've written and blame the customer)

      ahahah so true about the ignoring and blaming bit. They also make it sound like they're doing you a massive favour by manually adding the untracked cashback.

    Cash rewards way better than shopback in my experience.
    Shopback is way more work waiting and fighting for your Cashback with their email support when it gets rejected or doesn't even track for no reason

      Sorry I meant Cashrewards, yes I also noticed this quite often my purchases dont track!
      I think I will use cashrewards from now on.

    Just chatted with customer support and they said they are having a technical issue with the redirects which they say should be resolved in 1-2 hours.

  If I use a 3% off ebay gift card from suncorp, will I still get the cashback from shopback? I am thinking of a 61 keys music keyboard, will that fall under 5% cashback?

    Yes gift cards are fine. Depends which category Amazon has the music keyboard listed in - sometimes products aren't in the right category so always worth checking.
