  • Any bargains? Had a quick look and even with the 20% off there were similar/cheaper options elsewhere (e.g. from dcxpert).

    • +22

See example in description. That GX9 price would be the lowest I have seen.

      • +7

FFS, I can't believe you got negged for your reply. It addresses the question but seems like people just want to hear what they want to hear.

        • -1

Agree. Being able to neg posts is the worst feature of Ozbargain. I rarely use it.

          • @R4: i dont mind being able to neg a post but only if they state why they are negging said post.

            • @xoom: This is true for posts but not for comments. (You can't neg a post without stating why but you can neg a comment anytime.)

              • +1

@dust: should be same for comments.

        • +2

That wasn't me by the way. It was a genuine question, was looking for a few things (E mount lenses mostly) and didn't find anything particularly good.

          • @dust: All good.

FWIW, for EF mounts (not what you're looking for), the canon 50mm is available at $160. Which I am very tempted by but I already have an RF 35mm F1.8 so I'm not sure if I need that extra focal length.

  • -4

Do they have any good prices on VHS tape ?

    • +1

      or betamax.

      • +1

        or super 8.

        • +2

You guys need to move onto the digital age, use LaserDisc guys, its the future!

          • @FabMan: HD DVD is where it's at

            • @boretentsu: lies.. svcd is where its at.

              • @xoom: I remember having to throw out my SVCD porn. Sad times.

                • +3

@Munki: At least with them all stuck together it's only really like you threw out one ;)

                  • +1

@DarKBlooD: I had more respect for those discs than to just spunk all over them bruh.

                    • @Munki: And yet you threw them out like a piece of rubbish, just like the factory did to Super Ted.

          • @FabMan: Nah, VHD and CED all the way!

          Looking for bargains on Minidisc

          • @KLoNe: that reminds me. i have a minidisk player somewhere.

  • +2

They took off all the good Sony cameras :'(

  • +2

Should’ve bought the rode wireless go ii when it’s 22% last time 🤦‍♂️

    • Is looking into Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote for filming my son :(
Amazon is still cheaper.. only if ordering 2 from digidirect that would save <$10 each
      Not a good deal

  • +5

    storewide except for the Exclusions

its like saying all chicken except some chicken

  • +3

All the popular stuff is either price jacked or taken off the store.

A lot of stuff is cheaper on their own website.

  • +3

Looks like Jack visited the store yesterday….

    • +1

      yeah…

rode videomicro $71 in camera pro, digital camera warehouse, georges cameras.

Not 20% off now is it.

  • +2

Some good deals on Profoto gear as it rarely gets discounted.

    • +1

      Peak Design accessories too…

      • Yeah I have to say, their sales are great to pick up Peak gear.

      • Yup I picked up a couple of anchor mounts.
Free delivery with eBay Plus as well.

  • +1

$623.20 for the Insta360 one R Twin edition - pretty good for local stock. Only one left though.

  • +1

Wonder what the expiry date is on the film?
That said, usually OK for a couple of years after - depends on the holding conditions.

    • +1

I bought some Kentmere 400 black and white film from them recently (made by Harman/Ilford). Expiry August 2025. Other films will be different but I'd expect at least 12–18 months on the date of any new film. Keep it in the fridge to last longer. Freeze it to make it last even longer.

  • Do they actually have all the items in stock that they sell on their eBay store (unlike their site)?

  • $1719 for Canon 6D Mark II. Not bad for a full frame sensor.

  • is this only for ebayplus?

    • +2

This code is not restricted to eBay plus.

  • +1

Not many items available but for the Canon RF lenses pretty good prices after discount.
    RF 15-35 f2.8 for less than 3k
    RF 70-200 f2.8 for around 3.4k

    • contemplating… Would this be the lowest the 70-200 2.8L has been?

      • +1

I believe it was cheaper when the RF mount was quite new and adoption rate was low, but I don't think you'd find any cheaper nowadays.
I just bought the f4 otherwise would pull the trigger on this f2.8.

    • RF 35 1.8 $623

      not bad

but honestly I would wait till Canon stops playing dirty and releases more affordable practical lenses (L primes that are useful as opposed to half a ton 1.2 glass that no one asked for)

to do what I want on my RF mount kit I have:
      - RF 24-105/4L it's pretty much a must, and isn't expensive at all, considering. gives me wide angle and versatile almost-all-in-one solution which is compact and light
      - EF to RF adapter.
      - EF 200/2.8L ii USM (portraits, street)
      - EF 1.4x ii extender (wildlife, sports)

boom. done. looks like a Frankenstein to have adapter + extender + 200 2.8 prime on an RF body, but IQ is fascinating, and doesn't cost arm and leg

RF glass lineup is too scarce and overpriced.

    • I am trying to get the 15-35 but it says the code can't be applied to that product…

  • Angelbird AV PRO CFexpress 512 GB for $567.20 is pretty good

  • +2

FFS, I bit the bullet on a cam / lens combo and then a lens + adapter as well on Sunday morning. Now it's all 20% cheaper (yes, all items are on their site) - just my luck!!

    • +1

You should be able to cancel if you call up

  • +3

Just be prepared to wait ages, they don't seem to actually keep much in stock

    • +1

Agreed. I went through a teeth pulling exercise to have a partial refund on things that weren't listed as out of stock/backorder when I placed my order with them last time.

      • I'm still waiting for something I ordered on 27th of June, the page said in stock but I contacted them to be sure and they said no it wasn't in stock and would be about 2 weeks.

        • Was that the eBay store or the Digidirect website? I have found their eBay store ships product quickly, I have had no delivery issues.

        • +2

I had a very similar experience in mid-June. Bought a couple of Fuji lenses from them that I could claim cashback through Fuji. They shipped one lens, but didn't bother telling me the other one was out of stock and wouldn't arrive for a couple of months. If I hadn't gotten in touch with them and bugged them repeatedly for a serial number I would have missed out on the $200 cashback.

          • @deezus: I have a feeling you can try to claim it now if you have received your lens. The site was closed but now it seems to have opened again: https://www.fujifilmpromotion.com.au/EOFYcashback

            I am still waiting for the "XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR", already 4 weeks…

            • @xinsnake: I managed to badger them into getting a serial from Fuji and providing me with it so I could claim the cashback.
Funnily enough thats the same lens im waiting on after 4 weeks as well. They told me mid-August

              • @deezus: Same. They gave me some dummy S/N just to submit the cashback claim. I'm also waiting on the same lens. They told me early August.

              • @deezus: Oh… they told me late July… we'll see :)

  • Would the G9 be ok for 4k video (low light) ie: inside a home during night time with limited (soft) lighting?

    Cheers.

    • Yes if you have a fast lens (e.g. Lumix Leica 12mm F1.4 or 15mm F1.7).

      • 4K60FPS?

    • +2

      heh…home videos eh? ( ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ʖ ͡°) ͡°)
      Username checks out.

      • its their onlyfans page.

        • User is under NSW lock down, so literally "working from home" ;-)

  • Does this site sell Australian warranty stock or is it grey import? Thanks for any info.

    • +3

It's all local Australian stock with Australian warranty.

  • +1

DigiDirect are like Plush furniture or a mattress store… That is, they have sales 90% of the time. Most of the items I like are significantly more expensive, but they seem to always have 20% off storewide on either eBay or in their retail stores. They also have odd and quirky terms, such as price-matching… They have a 'request pricematch' on each product, but when asking about the match they won't do it because they haven't got stock even though that product specifically states they will price-match… They are cheap and cheery but be aware.

    • +1

All the camera stores except DcXpert love to jack up prices like that.

  • Where are the DJI products?

  • Already OOS price error??

  • Is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 good for $319?Or it is just old tech?

    • according to https://www.dpreview.com/reviews/panasonic-lumix-dmc-g7

its 2015 tech. so yeah. quite old.

    • +2

It’s good for the price, although old tech it has OLED EVF and touch screen articulating panel, and can take 4K videos (albeit 16mp sensor, current one 20mp has been around for a few years). It does not have IBIS.

      • Are all MFT lenses interchangeable? can I use Olympus lens without losing auto-focus etc?

        • +2

All MFT lenses are interchangeable. So you should be able to use either Sigma, Olympus or Lumix MFT lenses.

        • +1

Note that DFD will only work with Panasonic lenses.

  • +3

Damn I was looking for 50 f1.2 Sony gm

  • +1

Their rode NT1 kit is $399 on Ebay $296 on their own website :'(

  • +1

They usually pull anything worthwhile buying - e.g. DJI - nothing but lame-ass ND filters

  • +2

Thanks, grabbed one of the GX9s. After debating about it last year for $900, $400 is too cheap to pass up.

  • Don't really have any big gear on the list atm so just got myself a sensor cleaning kit.

    • which one? i got a d750 FF camera bot sure which cleaning system is recommended?

  • +1

For the GX9 - they appear to have pulled the listing when there were 3 still available. Also some broden purchased a few earlier on.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/bin/purchaseHistory?item=17444496527…

    • +1

pretty sure they still have stock, as you can buy it from their official website.

      • May be OOS in their online store too but not updated yet. There's no linkage between their eBay and their own store database (noting that they have eBay store, online store and several physical stores selling at the same time), it could be sold out in one place and may not be updated in the others until someone do it manually.

        • I confirmed that they still have stock on their online store through chat but they just removed the eBay listing and didn't give a reason.

          • +1

@brawndo: 'storewide sale's where the eBay 'store' has 0 of anything good.

            • @ankor: Yep, and the good products will be relisted after the sale.

  • Can we get the digidirect gift cards when you purchase GM lenses from ebay as well?

    • If it's a thing where you submit tax invoice to Sony then you should be able to no problem, since the tax invoice will show digidirect.

      • +1

I think caloykohan meant the store own gift cards. There’s no Sony rebate I know of happening atm. Best you ask the store for a definite answer.

        • Nikon have done a thing in the past I think with store gift cards, and usually the Nikon cashbacks are done via Nikon. So I just assumed the same.

Asking DigiDirect definitely a good bet although they are taking a few days to reply via eBay atm so maybe track them down outside of eBay if you can.

  • +1

The nikon z6ii for 2,540 looks like a very good deal
