Priority Pass: 20% off Annual Membership Fee

60

For those who don't have access to airport lounges all over the globe, Priority Pass is a program where you can by access to lounges easily. You can either access lounges on a pay as you go model, or have it covered as part of a higher tier membership.

With the relaunch of The Freddie Awards in 2012, Priority Pass (as a sponsor) is offering 20% off their annual membership fee to new subscribers.

Details of the program is available at the link above, and while this may be of interest only to frequent travelers who've not been loyal enough to one airline to have gratis lounge access, everyone I know who uses it gets good value from the program, and 20% off the joining fee is nothing to sneeze as.

They used to share Virgin lounges but they no longer do.

There are only 2 lounge in Australia.
One in Melbourne International and another in Cairns International(recently added).
    No dice in Sydney.

    • Mmm - not very good for domestic travel then…

      Thanks for the quick summary

It appears that there's no list of included lounges on their site and you don't get it until after you join. If that's true then its pretty rubbish! I'm actually interested but no way will I sign up without seeing the full list.

  • useful. not so much in australia but especially if you travel a lot. i use it all the time and it's great to chill out in the lounge with free food and drinks when everyone's cramming outside in tiny chairs!
i get it free with my black amex centurion though. :)

i find it bewildering that someone who pays $4300 annual fee on a credit card is visiting a site like ozbargain.

  • Had this back when I lived in Europe. Most lounges were the cheaper quality ones, and in most cases you could buy your way in on the day anyway. However as I travelled 2-3 times a month back then, on the cheapest tickets I could get, priority pass worked out great for me.

  • Does anyone know, if the buy the standard pass (10 visits) can i use one and let my wife use another?

    Like 5 visits each?

or will i have to pay guest each time she visits

  • The ones in HK, Singapore and some in China are ok, a couple in Europe ok. I can do a review / pictures. For my current priority pass it has your name on it. Managed to be lucky and get mine renewed for free.

    • which ones are good in europe? do a list please, just the names of the cities and a brief desc. would suffice.

I find it very hard to fork out large amounts of money to a company with such a bad website.

  • Just before Xmas, I received two free Priority Pass lounge entries per year with my credit card. Unfortunately, only for the primary cardholder so if I want to go into a lounge with my wife it's an additional $27USD.

The PP lounge in Changi also lets you just buy your way in for ~$28USD.

  • Get an American Express platinum credit card, and you'll get a priority pass membership

    • Does this offer also valid for Amex from CBA?
I have Platinum Awards cards from CBA which one of the is Amex.

  • I have been a PP member for more than 7 years. IMHO it has downgraded a lot in recent years especially when we could not use the Virgin Lounge. The better ones will be in HKIX and SIN.

  • If you're after the standard membership, use this link instead: http://prioritypass.com/110107
Annual fee of US$50 rather than US$99, each visit then costs $27
