but anther model should still have stock apply to the same discount .

  • Though all the promotions, it just comes close to the RRP in China, which is reasonable since its a chinese owned company.
It is saling on JD.com at RMB 8999(i7-10750H 16G 512G P620 4G), which is about $1600 without any promotion.
FYI, JD is the Amazon equivalent in China, though we also have amazon.cn as a competitor.

I won't recommend buying Thinkpad in stralia anyway.

Dell, surface and Apple's RRP make more sense.

    • In generally, all vendors know how to rip-off Australian

Plenty American-owned brands selling much cheaper price in US than in AU

Thus, it does not matter who owns it

      • I am Chinese, just saying that its not a "bargain" in my opinion.
Something like Dell's AW3821 monitor is being the cheapest in AU than any other place in the world, which is a good deal exclusive in stralia!

        • Bit of a moot point if the Chinese pricing isn’t readily available here without the assistance of those Taobao shipping aggregators.

  • I got the 20Y1A00BAU model last month. After going through the online chat I got a quote for a price around $1720. Definitely worth asking for a better price through the chat.

    • I think they are trying to clear out the 10 gen CPU model .And how do you ask for a better price in curious ?

      • "Hello. Can you do a better price?"

Pretty much this. I said I was interested in two different laptops and couldn't decide. Then I asked for a better price on the one I actually wanted.

  • just be aware of long delays. I bought at Thinkpad L13 Yoga in the EOFY sale (29/6/2021) and today the estimated shipping date jumped to 15th November! Looking at the lenovo forums around seems to be a common complaint. And many are saying the same date - 15th Nov 2021

Lenovo Agent claims that there are parts shortages…

    • I have just got mine delivered this morning .
