Been using this paste for a while now
Tend to get 3 to 4 pastings from a tube

Switched from deepcool z5, mainly due to price.
    No Thermo testing

    • Any good?

In most case, probably not much difference if you apply them correctly.

Arctic Silver 5 was a very good paste back in the day (2008). I had a tube from 2009 which was still fine all the way to 2019. So it is a long lasting paste in the tube. However, it does seem to not be as thermally conductive as other pastes such as Noctua NT-H1 / NT-H2, or the specialist pastes such as KPx.

For this price, I'd rather go for NT-H1, but I think one of the advantages of Arctic Silver 5 is use in systems that won't see a repaste for many years. I use this for my PS3 and PS4, but use NT-H1 for my PC as it is easier to replace the paste in my PC every few years.

Yes agree with you. NT-H1 is superior in many aspects to this Arctic Silver 5 and is based on newer technology. If price is not an issue then this 10grams syringe of NT-H1 for $23 delivered is a good value for money: https://pepnimble.com.au/products/nt-h1-10g-thermal-paste-no…

Remember we don't charge any surcharges for using PayPal, Visa/Master or even American Express card. BNPL like Afterpay, Klarna and Latitudepay are also available.

      Thanks

    • Depending on the tests and environment MX-4 and MX-5 seem on par/better than NT-H1 and NT-H2 and Mastergel Maker is better than all of them, plus also costs a lot less than the Noctua pastes. I do agree it's not a very compelling price to use AS5 when there's better pastes for less/slightly more than it.

  • Arctic MX-4 is cheaper on Amazon, a better paste for less.
