  • Here’s the one you bought, possibly in store clearance price only

  • Who says you need to goto the gym to get shredded! 💪

  • -1

a rest time of 40 minutes.

So you need to wait 40 minutes if you need to shred more paper? That sucks…

    • That's 3 minutes of continuous running. Each paper sheet takes about what, 3-4 seconds to be fully shredded. So that's about 40-50 sheets of paper if you do each one individually, and keep the machine running between each sheet of paper. I think that's more than enough a small or home office. Most large offices that require to shred hundreds of pages in one go usually have either a much more powerful machine or outsource to a company that destroys documents.

      • +1

Yes, but after 3 minutes, you might decide you need to more shredding and you need to wait 40 minutes. What if you have an appointment to go to?

        • Again, that’s three minutes of continuous runtime, which almost no person would ever use. It’s not like if you run it for 10 seconds, then wait half a minute, then run it for another ten seconds, you now need to wait 40 minutes.

If you’re working in a situation that requires you shred hundreds of sheets of paper in a time-sensitive manner, odds are you aren’t gonna be buying an officeworks special anyway, you’ll probably get an auto-feeding machine (or even multiple machines) or send your documents to a destruction company.

          • @TheRealCJ:

Again, that’s three minutes of continuous runtime,

That's assuming you have everything already collated.

I like to shred as I go, not do everything in batches.
With my current one, I just do the sheets one by one as I go through all my stuff. If I had to wait 40 minutes every 3 minutes, I would spend weeks going through my old filings…

            • @jv: You know these have an automatic mode right? You don't need to run it continuously while you search through your documents.

    • Is it a timer or just heat? Maybe put a fan next to it, cool it down faster. "It has a run time of 2 minutes and a rest time of 40 minutes." is pretty disappointing.

  • Found this model on the curbside during a council day. It gets clogged pretty easy if you are rushing to shed documents but it is easy to dissemble and clear blockage.

    • It gets clogged pretty easy

That's what a lot of the reviews say…

      Probably why it's on clearance…

      • I technically did get it on clearance on the curb lol

  • My local OW has it as $50.05.

        Cheers op!

        • That's where I went too !
          Glad to help :)

        • how much was it?

  • I have this exact model. Highly recommend it and never had any clogging or issues. Having said that I am not a heavy user of it but definitely recommend it.

  • I managed to get the last one for $41 at my local officeworks. Thanks for the deal!

    • what state?

      • VIC Maribyrnong Store.

  • Just called my local and it's still full price.

  • Thanks OP.

Scanned at $44.45 at Altona North.

One left on shelf at 4pm today.

    • You did better than me !
      I'm Happy you're Happy :)

  • Thanks OP.

Picked up the last one on the shelf from my local for $31.75.

  • I use one, the "3 minutes" run and overheating are NOT a issue.
By the time you line up all the papers and feed them in you can run this pretty much continually, non-stop, the huge bin is another highlight, great value at RRP $199!

  • I think I grabbed the last one at the Gabba for $35.75

  • $27.75 at my local
