I'm still salty about missing the TP link deal :(

    • :(

    • metoo and it hurts when I missed it by seconds :(

  • Is TP link better then this?

  • -1

Much better form factor than the tp link plus has ifttt. Great price.

    • cooool .. I'll take the plunge. Thanks :)
Almost went to jb to get that 2 for 33 tp link yesterday

    • Can you fit two units on a double outlet?

      • +5

No - these are real wide, the only way I've been able to maintain use of both is to have an adapter so the Meross plug is further away from the outlet facia, but that makes the plug quite loose and prone to being knocked out easily if someone bumps it or the cable.

The device itself works fine, but it's a PITA to use with double outlets.

These suck. Had them for a year now trying to replace the tp link… They are fat, so you lose the plug next to it, and they can't handle high loads, so switch off if you use a dishwasher, dryer or heater.

The integration into HASS isn't the worse, but tplink runs laps around it. Meross block you for excessive api calls - also lags up the startup of HASS by about 15 seconds while it initialises.

    • Thanks for saving my cashola! So they're fat like the ha110?

Think I need to save up for zigbee versions.

    • These suck.

Ive been using these for a couple years for smaller items like LED lights, a PC and a lamp and had 0 issues.

So perhaps avoid for larger current draw electronics but for lesser current draw items they are fine.

The package does say max of 10.0 amp…. so keep that in mind.

  • Any deal on smart plugs that support Homekit?
