TP Link's Kasa app is garbage. It does NOT support IFTTT (meaning cannot connect to other smart devices); there's no ability to store recordings in your own cloud storage such as Drive or Box; and if you ever needed to delete your recordings….lock yourself away for a month and do it one by one.
Otherwise, it's ok as an entry level smart camera, and if every smart device you have is TP Link.
Great little camera. Doesn't pick-up pets which is good. Clear picture and reasonably wide angle. Very clear audio.
I have a few of these in addition to a more serious cctv set up
the other tp link deal seems to be better deal but out of stock already..
at this price point.. no pan and tilt.. then i think the imou ranger 2 deal posted sometime ago is a better deal..
They also have the KC100 for $34.98 which seems like a good price as well ! I have one of these setup in the garage - pretty basic but does the job…
Is this a good cam for wireless real-time viewing? I want to use it to monitor my cnc machine working in the garage from work room. If this is not then any other suggestions?
Probably a good starter camera, but no PTZ (Pan, Tilt or Zoom).
You might be stuck using their proprietary software though.
