    Prices of EVERYTHING in Thredbo has inflated like crazy. Not worth it. I will consider only when business there will come back to earth.

      agreed, you pay a tax for not being prepared

        Will wait for border to re-open to enjoy a month or so on the European Alps. Better slopes, better snow, better accomodation, better food, cheaper.
        Thredbo is the most overpriced ski area on the planet.

          No international traveler would come back here after experiencing our snow. My first experience in Japan was magical and then when i went to Thredbo, SO ICY!!!

            @THX: I grew up in the Italian Alps…
            The quality of the snow is night and day. Thredbo is also PACKED! two minutes descent and then a massive line at the lifts.
            Barely passable for MTB but still.. 80 bucks for a day pass with just 3 descents. bah.

          • @THX: Yep, our paltry slopes are pretty (having snow-laden evergreen trees that aren't conifers is special) but the cost for goods and services there is laughably extortionate.

          I was shocked to see the cost of Lift pass, and heart attack to see the accommodation price, $800-$1000 per night.

            @codinghelloworld: Just checked.
            The bare pass is $179 per day.
            If I rent all the gear is $369 per day.

            On the border between Italy and France, I usually pay 45 euros for a day on a resort with 137 km of slopes.

            @codinghelloworld: Good thing you're not in America, you'd have another heart attack once you saw the bill for the first heart attack!

              @Meconium: I heard that Americans do not have something like Medicare? So how the low income survive?
