How well do these work? I can see them on ebay also.
They work but extremely impractical as what ever you are lighting needs to be placed between the groves. Fine for lighting paper and maybe a tea candle but scented candles with an edge can be hard. For $3 still a no brainer but probably not full price.

I went camping on the weekend. It was really handy having one of these rechargeable lighters. The lighting area is pretty small and really designed for cigarettes. But it’s great knowing you aren’t going to run out of gas.
Butane lighter, run out of gas, refill it. Battery lighter, run out of power, recharge it. A lot of campers will have some butane around anyway. What's the difference?
This will last longer than a butane lighter.
You're comparing the availability of butane vs electricity, and asking what the difference is?

Yes if it's open stick candle. No if it's a glass cup candle as you need to get the wick inside the plasma cross and the lighter cover doesn't open fully.
Arrived today, pretty decent for less than $3 but will be backup for camping trips etc. Not daily or regular use.
