negging not for politcal reasons, but thier service and quality is poor. Even if it was 90% off i wouldn't bother…
Same here.
Thats what they want you to think. They haven't.
with words only.
they are still on the bill and HAVE NOT removed their names from it
pulled their support due to customers taking $ away, they still agree in principle to it
No. Not them again… Waiting for neg voters shouting "Die SOPA supporter!!!"
30% off domain is probably not as a good deal comparing to last time.
30% off web hosting. Oh wait, do people actually use GoDaddy for web hosting?
30% off SSL certificates. At $70/year for "Standard SSL" it is not even competitive (comparing to NameCheap's $10/year RapidSSL for example)I'll pass.
Edit: Okay I was a bit delayed from looking up RapidSSL pricing on NameCheap's website. Looks like the neg voters have arrived in no time.
You're welcome :)
LAMEDADDY.COM is available
Sopa support = no deal
Can U trust a registar that support the messing of dns to the whim of media companies?
Can anyone recommend good budget hosting?
I am so sick of Hostable…I have the worst possible combination - Godaddy+Hostable
I have 6 domains with godaddy and will be moving them as soon as I can find a reasonable name register. I'll neg for the SOPA support, but also because their back end interface for setting up Nameserves etc is horrendous.
Godaddy says they no longer support SOPA and PIPA. They have done nothing to demonstrate their "change of heart", so my vote on this deal is negatory.
Poor op, first post and gets smashed. Hope this will prevent others from posting future godaddy deals
Poor service, support SOPA and other proposed copyright/data retention legislation, why bother.
Avoid
Avoid Godaddy. They are a HUGE supporter of SOPA, PIPA and other legislation to restrict our internets!!! They have lost hundreds of thousands of customers due to their support:
