    AA's*

  • Grabbed some Ladda's from IKEA over the weekend for around $9. Would be a better deal if you are close to one.

  • How do these compare with the Ikea Ladda batteries? I bought a 4 pack over the weekend for $9 and those are 2450 mAh

    • as I understand things neilpatrickharris, you summarised the comparison very well. What you have is lower cost, higher capacity. I would not be changing what you've done.

These are non-pros which have a lower capacity but a higher life span.

        • In that case how do the Ladda compare to the eneloop pros, since they both have the same capacity. Pros = Longer life span?

          • @neilpatrickharris: From my understanding laddas are rebadged eneloop pros, for both AA and AAA.

However it gets complicated because not all eneloop pros are made equally (some Japan some China etc) so I'm not sure on the latest.

Either way, laddas are a solid buy.

@b2dz: I see. Mine says made in Japan - I guess I'll stick with these over getting Eneloop pros then. They get the job done for a fraction of the cost.

@b2dz: Technically the LADDA 2450mAh cells aren't really rebadged/rebranded, just branded. Same way Eneloop Pros are. They are the same batteries (or close enough to the same) made in the same factory to the same specifications. But by FDK Corporation (owned by Fujitsu), not Panasonic. Panasonic owns the Eneloop brand but not the orginal battery technology or the manufacturing plant. That was all transferred from Sanyo to FDK about a decade ago. These days IKEA LADDA 2450mAh cells are just as "original" as Eneloop Pro cells. Or Fujitsu HR-3UTHC cells. And a few others.

It might sound like nitpicking but I think it's an important distinction.

    • If only there was an Ikea in Tasmania….. :p

    • was there a special or something? looking online they're 12.99 for AAA and 14.99 for AA?
